    Great day out there Tracy., that Rapala Jerk-bait was getting it done. Thanks for telling us about the Catch 22 Challenge , leave it to Chad to hook up with an organization to help our US Veterans.. I will definitely be taking part in this challenge once the water opens up and I’m back in the yak.
    The first Tough Mudder I ran back in 2016 was in support of veterans and the Wounded Warrior Project. Hard to believe at that time the number of veterans that committed suicide was over 20 a day. We lost my best friend and Air Force brother Dave back in ‘06 to the most horrible suicide any of us that knew him could imagine. He suffered from Depression but at that time we were too ignorant to understand to what extent. When he took his life we finally realized the depth of mental illness he had but managed to hide so well. Since then, Depression and Suicide Prevention have been two of the causes I try to support as much as possible and yet always feel like I should be doing more.
    Anyways, thanks for another entertaining video, keeping me looking forward to open water and the end of winter. Really looking forward to seeing you down in the Glades. Take care my friend.

      Thanks Don. I also try to support veteran events (among many others). That's really sad about your friend. My dad also sufferred from depression in his later years. It's a horrible affliction. I'm really looking forward to the Everglades too. Not only for Bass fishing but also the exotics. In particular, I'm targeting the Bullseye Snakehead. It's been on my list for a few years. I'm planning to do a collab with another youtuber.... you should check him out. His channel is awesome. th-cam.com/users/FloBass We will be specifically targeting the Snakehead. Tomorrow I'm headed south for a day at Tenoroc. Stay tuned!

    LOl. just found your boots in the apparel links. Cabin fever must be affecting me than I thought. Keep up the great work. You channel helps keep the juices flowing.

      Oh good. I love those boots. They've been a life saver for sure. I'll try to keep the content coming so you can prep for spring. Stay warm! !

    What a Fun day you had! I fished today also. Felt great to be out there after the last cold snap. You were only 19 fish ahead of me today!! 🤭🤣

      Yes it really was overdue. It was a bit chilly with that wind but well worth the suffering. hahaha.

    Hi T. It's funny how fish will focus on only one bait. We are going to Melbourne and Palm Bay on Mon 2/21 to look for an apartment. We are tired of the New Jersey winters. Hopefully we will move to Fl by July. I prefer saltwater fishing but with all the wonderful lakes around, fresh water looks good and fishing year-round is fantastic. My sister-in-law lives in Orlando area, so we don't want to be too far away. We hope to be Florida residents soon. Good luck in the KBF this month. Take care, Mickey

      Oh my gosh that's fantastic news!!! I bet you are STOKED!!! There are so many reasons to retire to Florida and you're moving to the heart of Big Bass area. I'm excited for you. AND... you will have excellent saltwater fishing too.... Sebastian Inlet etc. We need to do a fishing trip when you get settled in!

    What a day! You were tearing them up! Still a bit chilly in my neck of the woods to think about stepping in a kayak. Watching your videos definitely helps with the cabin fever! Thanks for sharing!

      It was a very good day. The fish were very active but only on that one lure. Stay warm, spring is right around the corner.

    I really like your whole kayak set up. I especially like your boots. I am retired and got my first kayak this past year and love it. Here in Missouri, my crocs don't cut it when the water gets colder later in season and I still don't want to put my kayak up for the winter yet. Hope you don't mind me asking what those are and where I might track down a pair?

      This is a fantastic way to retire..... except one thing.... you should relocate to a warm climate where you get to fish all year!!

    Good morning Tracy....just out of curiosity, have you heard of the group "Kayak Anglers of Florida"? Its a great group of kayak anglers that have a whole season, they are on their I believe 3rd season. I was part of it for 1 season but this was about the time I was having lots of family issues and I had to quit!! I think I might try to join again next season!!

    • @OldLadyAngler
      @OldLadyAngler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have heard of KAF. I've thought about joining but I travel so much. I may do one of their tourneys though.

      @@OldLadyAngler Yes, I definitely know you are a busy angler traveling a lot. I think for me, is I grew up fishing on bass boats, so I really don't do much kayak angling. I only keep my kayak so I can fish one spot on the Hillsborgough cause I am unable to get my gheenoe up to that spot and there is no boat ramp in the park!
