Soar - K’nex Roller Coaster

I designed the coaster to work with block sections, allowing for two trains to run on the course. Everything is moderated by a lego EV3 which has motors that control:
-the drill to the first lift
-the drill to the second lift
-the brakes
-the station chain
Other details include a full entrance and exit, images from the paper in the station, and manual gates!
About 11,000 pieces were used.
Track length: About 87 feet
Construction time: About 90 hours, January 2 - February 20

I considered it! I figured the amount of space i had was too small for a cable launch, and a wheel launch didn’t work. So that’s why i went for the chain.
