Hey Alejandra, I just bought this label maker and was wondering if you could re-make this video with a more in detail approach to how to use it and the different sizes of tape etc
Excellent illustration of the different fonts and styles, however, I need to know how to use the label maker. You may want to create another video demonstrating the process to make the labels. Off topic, your dog is cute. Thanks.
Hi Alejandra, Your new puppy is adorable! no poodles here, have two yorkies they don't shed. I just bought my first label maker. I'ts not as fancy as yours but I like it because I have pink on black very cool! I love all your videos
I have the brother PT-H105 and have found that you can get tapes from eBay or Amazon that aren't genuine brother ones for a fraction of the cost and work just as well. Which is great for me as we've just moved house and have a ton of labelling to do!
those "gaps" you refer to in the beginning and end is the margin and is adjustable to 1", 1/2" and 1/6". label supported sizes is 3.5, 6, 9, 12, and 18mm
Mojo is absolutely adorable!! I've seen the occasional miniature poodles in the area (none of them red, though) and smile with delight at how cute they are. Someday this cat lover will get a mini poodle!
Hi Alejandra, Thanks for the great advice! I love your videos! I found a way to change the sides of your label so you don't get extra space on each side! Press the function button and find margin-> from there you have 3 options: Full - 1" on each side Half - 1/2" on each side Narrow - 1/6"on each side I always use the narrow setting and it saves a lot of tape!
Just picked up my first labeller the Dymo Letratag handheld is on sale for $20 at Staples! Please make a video showing how you organize your dog stuff Alejandra!!
I just got the PT 1880 & the instructions are very small and don't show you how to use the product. Would you make a video that actually shows the steps from beginning to end & explains the keys? Ruth
Same here. I got it in Costco for $27, and have no idea where to even begin. I need help. I tried searching here on YT for videos for beginners but no luck
Mojo is adorable! I love her! Potty training is easy - do you know how we trained Poppy? We use those square diapers (40cmx40cm) that are used when you are changing a baby, to avoid messing the bed or changing table - do you know what they are. I saw them at the vet, when she was weighing Poppy, so she wouldn't feel the cold of the scale and I had a Aha moment. We didn't punish her when she did it somewhere else BUT we congratulated her anytime she did it on the diaper.
This is was nice but I wished you had demonstrated how to exactly use the label maker itself. If you could please film one to share on here it would be more helpful. Thanks!! And by the way, been watching your videos for a very long time and I love them. Great job!!
I had a poodle growing up. She was a small white one and her name was Fifi! She was so smart and sweet! I had even put her in some dog shows. I wish I had a photo of her still but I dont it was so long ago. Our last dog who lived to be almost 20yrs old, Maybell was poodle and chihuahua mixed. She was so pretty and very smart and a great dog! Now I have a chihuahua minpin. Her name is Ella, I adopted her about a year ago. She is 7yrs old and very loyal to me! She sticks to me like glue! She's very sweet and very smart too! I just love her so much except for the shedding!! I never knew chihuahuas shed like that! It's bad on my allergies just glad we don't have carpet or it would really be hard on me! Anyway.. I have been wanting a planner for months now and have been pricing many of them out! I think I have finally made a decision on getting the "Brother P-Touch PT-90 Personal Label Maker" from Amazon $20.88 with FREE Shipping! This has been the best deal I have found so far so I think I will get this one!
Awwww...congrats, Alejandra! Mojo is ADORABLE! I hope she is doing well with potty training...it's a process but worth it! Thanks for sharing this video by the way...I'm in the market for a label maker.
I love Mojo! He's so adorable. I enjoy your channel so much, I'm needing so much help with my office I don't even know where to begin. Your house is an inspiration, I'm hoping I can get mine to look like that some day!!! Thanks for your videos.
This is crazy but I need to organize my to-do lists.. As well as my entire house! I write so many things down and then all my things pile up into a huge shuffle. I'm hoping some day to be as organized as you ^_^ Thanks for your channel. I love it!
Alejandra! I love your organizing tips so much. They've helped me a lot and my mom and I have decided to re-organize our WHOLE house next summer. This summer we didn't have much time because we had a lot of guests and family over. My dad and I have the same label-maker as you. Idk I just felt like saying that because I love your tips so much and it makes me so happy? Anyways, don't let any of the hate get to you. Keep up the organization (:.
Most models of Brother labelers are programmable to use less tape [leaders or headers/footers]; check your manual for how to set the features for tape-sparing functions.
The gap or leading edge at beginning and end of ones label can be reduced with the MARGIN function built into several Brother label makers. As of 3rd week Jan 2013 Office Depot or Staples ( sorry cant remember which) is selling the decorative white on pastel tapes 3 for $30 while Michaels had them half price. Length is only 16.5 feet on most. Your puppy is adorable.
Great video....my poodle looks just like Prince, except he's not groomed all the time...lol =) They really are the most obedient dogs. They want nothing more than to please their owner.
I just bought the PT- 600 at Office Depot it's awesome and you can change the gap margins in the beginning and the end and they match competitors prices. I brought the label making tape 1/2" 12mm for $10.50 each.
ok Alejandra. I am way over the budget I meant to spend. But I must have this label maker like 5 years ago already! which means I can only spend $25.00 the month of April. Thank you so much once again for all the videos!
Picked up a used PT-1290 with a 1/4" tape cartridge that was 2/3 full at a thrift store for $4. Loving it and looking forward to trying different tapes. :)
For anyone that likes to use the different color labels, you can find a "knock off" brand that is compatible with this label maker or even about any others on Amazon & save so much on label tape.
This is absolutely my favorite "toy" too. I LOVE my label maker and actually have given it out as a birthday or bridal shower gift (to people I knew would enjoy it). Everyone I gave it too loved it and told me they were surprised how much they actually used it. BTW, my Costco sells the tape cartridges but only the basic black font on white (which is fne with me because that's the one I use the most).
That's great on color options, but how do I use it? Maybe a demo of at least one phrase and cutting it and applying somewhere. Or perhaps the different places you use your labels by showing us.
I have the Brother pt 1950 which is almost identical to yours!!!! I LOVE IT!! I've had it for about two years and still havent used all the different fonts and frames. Now Im curious to try some new labels. Also have smaller DYMO Letratag for quick labeling...daughters lunch bag for school or field trips or taking covered dish for party or get-together. LOVE THEM BOTH!!!! Thanks for sharing your tricks of the trade!
Doitonadime did a video on the Epson, and said to her knowledge, that's the only brand that doesn't leave the extra wasted tape :) love your vids! and so does my home!! :D
I used to work at staples and each tape it like 20 bucks. Kinda expensive, especially if there's all that extra space that prints for no reason? That's 2 inches wasted per print
I use it to label all my test leads and on my toolbox drawers. PS for all the people asking how to use it; there is a little book that comes with the label that tells you
I love a label maker!!! And that Mojo is darling!!!! What a cutie-patutie!!! Congratulations on becoming a puppy mommy! Mojo with bring such joy to you!
I use Dymo and gave my Brother to my cousin just because Dymo has nicer border designs XD hehe~ and i do exactly what you do! Print everything in caps, cut off the extra space sometimes and print all separate words in once to save space!! ^.^ and i feel like hugging your Poodle~~ :3
Can you do a vid on how to use it & print it out in the way you also explained it in this vid. I got the same exact label as ur's only mine was cheaper cos I bought it from costco. Thanks
Ha haa that pooch did not know what it was in for, at the time ! Iv seen your pet organizing video ! I knew the dog wouldn't escape being organized hahaaaa ! Love it !
Hi Alejandra, thank you for your guide on something as simple as this. I appreciate it and your other videos that I have been watching for the last week. I purchased my label maker yesterday at Staples. It is the Brother 2030. I believe that this is a more recent version of yours. Thanks again!
Hey what's the best lable maker to use. I have a dymo. Only has the basic black on white label or black on clear. I'm looking for one that does all different sizes and colours. Thx alejandra. You rock and ur my organising idol
In my opinion, this is more an endorsement of the label maker and different fonts/tapes. What about an actual tutorial from unpacking the device to step by step details?
I have a Pt-1800. I've used it for years. I prefer the red on white tape and use it to label file folders and document boxes for my various projects. I also used it to label the bottles in my travel toiletries kit, which is vital since all my products are fragrance free and are all the same color! (which off-white scentless goo is the shampoo again?)
Thanks for a very informative video Does this label maker have the ability to print in the italic font on 6mm tape? If you were to purchase an upgraded model today ...which would you purchase? Thanks in advance for taking the time.
Dear Alejandra, could you tell me how many charakters in a line your printer writes? And can it print in 2 lines and how many charakters in each line can be written then? I would be very grateful for your help! xxx Karin
My Mini Poodle was 3 months old in March of 2012 also. Where did you get Mojo? I wonder if they are from the same litter? Love your videos. Obsessed!!!!
HI! I'd love to learn how to move the curser, the manual doesn't specify how to do it. I need that to select font size and to be able to move down to the second line of the lable. Please.
If you print one label at a time, then yes, you are correct. I've owned Dymo label-makers, & they're no different in the end margin waste, but much more limited in the overall functionality & use of the full width of the tape (they have narrow type that uses slightly over 1/2 the tape width. However, if you can get your text together & enter a string of several labels, then print all at one time, the starting margin waste is minimized. Setting your margins for "narrow" will save tape as well.
I have the pink brother p-touch 128AF now I'm off to look for pink tape lol. I love my label maker. And also love your puppies name my mom's name is Joyce she went by the name Jo Jo and my dad's name is Moe so I often use the name Mojo as user names on sites.
you need to put a label on Mojo, LOL. she's adorable. I have a Bichon Frise. I just got mine at BJ's wholesale for $30. I have no clue how to work this thing
The end of the video is so cute, so funny! :-D Anyway, I have a Dymo Label Manager 120P. It's ok to start, but I can only use 9 an 12 mm tapes. But the good thing is I have blue tapes! White on blue, and blue on clear. And I love blue!
Hey Alejandra, I just bought this label maker and was wondering if you could re-make this video with a more in detail approach to how to use it and the different sizes of tape etc
Exactly
She takes her personal time to share her tips with us, there is no need to be a jerk.
MissRuelland Exactly! So many rude and arrogant people on here. Seriously, grow up!
Can you do a video about how to use the label maker
i had the same problem nothing at all about how to actually use it
How do you use the machine
8 years later and this is still the best label maker ever!! Oh, and Mojo is adorable 😊

I actually have this same label maker, and it works great!!! I was hoping she would talk more about the frames, but other than that, great video.

Good to know about the wasted inches. I'm comparing this to the Epson with no waste - those cartridges are expensive.
There is also a "Chain Print" option, which I'm sure can be found on any of the Brother label makers.
OH MY GOD THE DOG AT THE END IS REALLY CUTEEEE! SUCH A CUTIE PIEE 😍😍
How about how to use the damn thing. DUMB
I was trying to learn the machines functions.
Don't mean to be rude, but girl you are blessed, you got it!

I found the brother ptouch label maker for 8 bucks at goodwill!
you didn't show " how to use it"

roadaroom get in touch if you need more details or explanation in similar gadgets
I love your ideas so much!
you need to put a label on Mojo, LOL. she's adorable. I have a Bichon Frise.
I just got mine at BJ's wholesale for $30. I have no clue how to work this thing
This is so awesome! I have three miniature poodle here! Pet organization would definitely be welcome!
I have this same model. Wondering how you shorten the label? Can't figure it out and wasting a lot of tape by having to cut them down. Thanks!
Try this video. Very helpful to me: th-cam.com/video/1y_FZ7Wmlms/w-d-xo.html
The end of the video is so cute, so funny! :-D Anyway, I have a Dymo Label Manager 120P. It's ok to start, but I can only use 9 an 12 mm tapes. But the good thing is I have blue tapes! White on blue, and blue on clear. And I love blue!
