I just found your channel, and love watching your simple lifestyle. Nice to know how you spend Japanese New Year, as it has many traditions. I love Japan (hope to return in the Spring), foods delicious, cheap and people are so kind and polite. Don't worry about your English, as I can understand it very well. Continue to cook delicioius Japanese recipes. Happy New Year, and looking forward to more videos.

Thank you for sharing your New Year traditions! Teaching all of us about your traditional cooking and the meanings behind them provides much insight into Japanese New Year customs. The first sunrise of the New Year also a chance for all of us to appreciate life and wish for a positive future. I wish your father and you (and everyone watching) a happy and prosperous New Year! 🎉🎉🎉

I am visiting Japan very soon and started watching videos on your channel in anticipation of my visit. The videos are very helpful to get exposure to aspects of Japanese culture which is so different than that of the USA, where I'm from. I especially appreciate the length of the videos; they provide interesting information without being overwhelming. I'm quite enjoying your channel and plan to remain a subscriber after I return home from Japan. Thanks, and Happy New Year!

Would you say after living a long life, that trusting other people is a foolish thing to do? You are independent and secure. People seem very dangerous at times.
