Summary: People have deficiencies in various aspects of their religion or faith. For eg: a blind man is deficient in his religion because he is restricted as he cannot read the Quran. A man who cannot speak is deficient in his religion because he cannot recite the Quran Similarly the female is deficient in her religion during her menstruation as she can not pray the Salah during that time. However these deficiencies do not deteriorate the spiritual quality of a person in the sight of God. Similarly (reliable)woman are deficient in their intellect as they are considered to be half the witness of a (reliable)man for *a long term business contract only* . This deficiency is however only restricted to that particular aspect of a woman's life. This cannot simply be transposed to other aspects of her intellect. The same way a religious deficiency cannot be transposed to other aspects of the religion.
With modern communications there is no deficiency in people's access to the Quran, consequently there is no "deficiency in religion". The real problem is in scholars assertions that they are more qualified than others to issue interpretations and fatwas. The last statement about the womens witness rule is either clearly related to the subservient uneducated state of women at the time of the prophet, which is not applicable now, or if you insist that it still applies, then it is clearly misogynistic.
@@avi7430 The womens witness rule is not a hadith, it is in the Quran 2:282. My short answer is yes, reject it, it is not applicable now. I have worked in finance for many years and met many women who are as sharp as any man. This sort of contextual reading of the Quran is advocated by modernist scholars like Fazlur Rahman and Abdullah Saeed. Conservative scholars may regard it as apostasy. The long answer is to understand the context of the revelation. Women were subservient and uneducated, with the exception of some strong women like the prophet's first wife Kadija and his wife Aisha. Two women could support each other in legally witnessing a transaction, presumably against a largely male audience. I do not like the rule because it gives some Islamic scholars licence to generalize the rule beyond business transactions using analogical reasoning (qiyas) to other things.
Why will Allah even allow deficiency in religion if he's giving them disadvantages they can't overcome?!? He can't blame a blind person for not reciting the Qur'an when he himself made that person blind? Where is the justice or fairness in any of this? Shouldn't it be the opposite instead? That a blind person is forgiven for nor reading the Qur'an? Instead Allah makes them "deficient" and as a result they might end up in hell. What I'm getting is, your God isnt as fair as you make him to be
@@crestfire8008 you completely misunderstood what that person said. They said that the verse regarding the women says they are deficient (which isn’t the best word). This is because they have their periods/menstrual cycle and have to care to their offspring. Women are not penalized for this, because like you said it’s not their fault. A blind person is the same, that’s why the person above used them as an example. They are deficient because they cannot see. Allah does not punish them, that’s where you are wrong. The same goes for a deaf person. They are deficient, not punishable, but deficient. There is more leniency/mercy towards that person because they are deficient. There are 5 prayers a day. Women aren’t allowed to pray at all while on their menstrual cycle. They are NOT required to make up these prayers as it is not their fault. It’s the same with blind and deaf people, once again, like the person said above
Just here to remind people of his point and what people who do their research in classical Arabic would support: this doesn't mean that women are naturally deficient. It means that due to certain restrictions, their ability to interact in certain intellectual (context back when this was said: referring to the political sphere, i.e. being a witness in a court) and religious fields is reduced. Without context and in a rather insufficient translation, this comes across as incredibly harsh. Due to exemptions from prayer and fasting due to menstruation and childbirth (if you have children and a period), women have fewer opportunities to take part in those acts of worship. They are not seen as worse off for it, but it still stands that, as a rule, an average man has more opportunity to partake than an average woman would. In regards to intellect, the hadeeth uses the example of 2 women compared to 1 man. This is used in a specific instance of serving as a witness or having a testimony for financial matters: 2 women being required versus 1 man. There are, of course, a variety of interpretations regarding this ruling. One of the most common and respected regards the cultural norms of the time, including women's comfort levels and needing support and reading situations through a more empathetic mindset (often referred to as being "emotional"). The Qur'an even states that the second women would be there in case the first forgets something: the second may remind her, as a form of support. The second is there just in case. Again, this is a generalization and seen as a mercy for women. Here, women are not seen as lesser for this reason; they simply have less of an opportunity within the realm. If women were really regarded as naturally deficient in this arena, would we have even half as many of our sahih hadeeth from Aisha as we currently do? All in all, this is probably best translated as "women have a reduction within..." rather than "women are deficient in..."
Edit: it seems the person to which I was responding with this comment deleted his account and/or comment. There are a number of female geniuses. Many of which are known to people who have attended at least public school in the US. And if you don't, perhaps you weren't paying attention or your history class was lacking. Off the top of my head, at least Marie Curie and Rosalind Franklin come to mind. But there are two things to consider in this comparison/example you've provided. First, they are not only all men, but categorically white men. Given this logic, are we also to believe that, given the aforementioned names, brown and black men are somehow intellectually inferior to white men? No, of course not. It was a matter of historical circumstance and the people who were privileged with higher education and career growth in society, based on race, class, and gender. It is similar to the lesser opportunities granted to women, historically. The second factor to consider is the field(s) in which these people came to prominence: mostly math and technology. These fields are historically dominated by white men. Women in these fields aren't as well known, but there are extremely intelligent women in these fields, nonetheless. Women tend to favor other fields in a number of societies, but that doesn't make them intellectually inferior; it means that they either innately have different interests, intellectually, or they were raised to better appreciate different fields. The issue here is that this example presupposes an equal playing field in the educational and career opportunities in society for all people (including gender, race, ethnicity, etc), which has not been the case. If you truly want to know, by an example like this, if women are intellectually inferior to men, then you'd have to provide the same intellectual treatment and opportunity to a single generation of men and women and see what comes of it. I think we're closer now to this than we've ever been, so I suppose we'll see as time goes on. But scientific data comparing the intellectual abilities of men and women certainly does not support an actual significant difference.
From your comment I would conclude you would be a "contextualist" interpreter of the Quran and ahadith rather than a literalist as most current Islamic scholars tend to be. There are modern contextualist scholars such as Fazlur Rahman Malik and Abdullah Saeed. But Fazlur Rahman was run out of Pakistan on the grounds of apostasy by the conservatives (Maududi-ists and Jamat Islami followers). Taqi Usmani over there (former head of their sharia court, a speaker at Davos, and still active in Islamic finance) has said not to question or explain such things as the womens witness rule but to accept what Allah has revealed. He opposed the Womens Protection legislation in Pakistan and wrote up hudud punishments into legislation.. This is all just to note that there are very strong undercurrents of conservatism in Islam.
@kt95 gy The wiki summary on sex differences does not indicate any significant differences in general intelligence - "Differences in human intelligence have long been a topic of debate among researchers and scholars. With the advent of the concept of g factor or general intelligence, many researchers have argued that there are no significant sex differences in general intelligence, although ability in particular types of intelligence does appear to vary.[3][4] In particular, studies have shown female subjects performing better on tasks related to verbal ability,[2] and males performing better on tasks related to rotation of objects in space, often categorized as spatial ability.[5] Some research indicates that male advantages on some cognitive tests are minimized when controlling for socioeconomic factors.[1][4] Other research has concluded that there is slightly larger variability in male scores in certain areas compared to female scores, which results in more males than females in the top and bottom of the IQ distribution. Wiki also notes that before the 20th century it was generally assumed that men were more intelligent than women.

To the people who have a problem with understanding this Hadith , here's the official explanation. Please read the entire thing before jumping to criticism. Answer: Praise be to Allah. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have not seen any lacking in reason and religious commitment but (at the same time) more able to rob the wisdom of the wise, except one of you [women].” They said: How are we lacking in religious commitment and reason, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “Is not the testimony of a woman like half the testimony of a man?” They said: Yes. He said: “That is how she is lacking in reason. And when she menstruates, does she not refrain from praying and fasting?” They said: Yes. He said: “That is how she is lacking in religious commitment.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that her lacking in reason refers to her weak memory, and that her testimony must be supported by the testimony of another woman, in order to confirm the testimony, because she may forget, and add something to or take something away from her testimony, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her” [al-Baqarah 2:282]. With regard to her lacking in religious commitment, that is because when she is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth, she does not pray or fast, and she does not make up the missed prayers, so this is lacking in religious commitment. But this lacking is not something for which she is called to account or blamed, rather it is something that happens by the will of Allaah; for He is the One Who has prescribed that out of kindness towards her and so as to make things easier for her, because if she were to fast during menses and nifaas, that would harm her. By His mercy Allaah has prescribed that she should not fast at the time of menses and nifaas, and she should make it up after that. With regard to prayer, at the time of menses she is unable to purify herself, so by His mercy Allaah has prescribed that she should not pray, and the same applies to nifaas, and He has not prescribed that she should make it up, because making it up would be very difficult, as prayers are offered five times a day, and menses may last for several days, seven or eight or more, and nifaas may last as long as forty days. So by His mercy and kindness towards her, Allaah has waived the duty of offering and making up prayers. This does not mean that her reason is lacking entirely, or that her religious commitment is lacking entirely, rather the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that the lack in her reasoning has to do with what may happen of her testimony not being accurate, and the lack in her religious commitment has to do with what may happen of her missing prayers and fasts at the time of menses and nifaas. But that does not imply that she is less than a man in everything, or that a man is better than her in everything. Yes, the male gender is superior to the female gender in general, for many reasons, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means” [al-Nisa’ 4:34]. But a woman may sometimes surpass a man in many things. How often has a woman surpassed men in her reason, religious commitment and memory. What is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with regard to the female gender being inferior to the male gender in reason and religious commitment is from this point of view, which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained. A woman may do a great deal of righteous deeds and thus surpass many men in her righteous deeds, fear of Allaah and status in the Hereafter. She may have a great deal of interest in some matters and thus able to give proper testimony, better than that of some men in some issues in which she has an interest. She may strive in memorization and understanding these issues, thus becoming a reference point with regard to Islamic history and many other things. This is clear to anyone who studies the state of women at the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and after that. Thus it is clear that this lack does not mean that women cannot be relied on in narration (of hadeeth etc) or in giving testimony, if it is supported by another woman. It also does not mean that she does not fear Allaah or that she cannot be among the best of Allaah’s slave and the best of the female slaves of Allaah, if she adheres strictly to Islam. Although fasting is waived for her at the time of menses and nifaas, she has to make it up, and even prayer is waived in her case, but she does not have to make it up. This does not imply that she is lacking in all things when it comes to fearing Allaah, obeying His commands and becoming well-versed in matters that are of interest to her. It is a lack that is specific to reason and religious commitment, in the way that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained. So the believer should not accuse her of being lacking in all things, or of being weak in religious commitment in all aspects, rather it is a specific type of lacking that has to do with her religious commitment and reason, which has to do with accuracy of testimony and so on. So she should be treated fairly and the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) should be interpreted in the best possible manner. And Allaah knows best. Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him)

I would not call it so. Actually its pretty good as far as it goes. Its interesting for me that the prophet and Baaz extend the woman's witness rule to the issue of the supposed inferior intelligence of women to men in general. Many Muslim commentators say that the womens witness rule applies to financial matters only and it is historical, not universal. In any case in the modern context there is no overall difference in the intelligence of women vs men but some differences in age and in some test subsectors both ways and for me thats where the answer lies. Quran does not contain such content. if women are deficient, why Àllah gives same punishments to men b women? Muslim scholars put all their efforts to degrade women status in Islam. if this man says truth, it means Islam disrespects women.
The Koran does say women are inferior. It says they should be submissive to their husbands and that men have the right to "discipline them, either verbally or physically. That proves it's sexist.
Qur'an says that men are above women. Qur'an 4:34 says Men are in charge of, they have authority over, women, disciplining them and keeping them in check, because of that with which God has preferred the one over the other, that is, because God has given them the advantage over women, in knowledge, reason, authority and otherwise, and because of what they expend, on them [the women], of their property. Therefore righteous women, among them, are obedient, to their husbands, guarding in the unseen, that is, [guarding] their private parts and otherwise during their spouses’ absence, because of what God has guarded, for them, when He enjoined their male spouses to look after them well. And those you fear may be rebellious, disobedient to you, when such signs appear, admonish them, make them fear God, and share not beds with them, retire to other beds if they manifest such disobedience, and strike them, but not violently, if they refuse to desist [from their rebellion] after leaving them [in separate beds]. If they then obey you, in what is desired from them, do not seek a way against them, a reason to strike them unjustly. God is ever High, Great, so beware of Him, lest He punish you for treating them unjustly. it is even fiqh, as Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11 clearly states the above is THAT what you call a challenge? .. :D
Qur'an says this about husband n wife relation only. A man has no superiority over his sister. A man has no superiority over his parents . A man being father is superior to his son. A woman being mother is 3 times superior to his son. Heaven lies under the feet of ur mother. A man being a husband is the head of family. Husband is not superior rather he has given responsibility to earn n spend on his family. Husbands spend their money on wives so they are given 1 degree higher rank over his wife. What nonsense .. It is fiqh thatmen are superior to women, as stated in Shafi'i Sharia about heir, witness in court etc, as well as raping and beating his wives as well. What part of shari'ah law don't you understand?
I love it how he compares women with children and lame and blind people, like womanhood is the same as illness or being a child. "A woman is not given the same responsibilities because she can get pregnant." How long are you pregnant for? 9 months. For how long are you incapacitated because of pregnancy? Maybe 2 or 3 months at most. Bearing in mind that most women have 2 or 3 children at most, that's a tiny percentage of their lives. He's an idiot. The most difficult job is done by women. Bearing children and bringing them up as nice human beings is the most difficult job in the world. Dont take this heavy task away from mothers.
You ignorantly ignored the amount of time the woman takes to bringing up the child. Psychologically, for a child, the first few years (a decade or half) is very important in the upbringing and the Mother plays a huge role during this period. So strictly speaking, like he said, when it comes to Jumma'ah, it would be a pain to bring along her kids or find someone to take care of them. Alas, her obligation to religion is far lesser than that of a man. You not only left huge portions of your idea away, but you also misperceived the man's final point.

Any islamic women defending this state about deficiency in intelligence, proves the hadiths validity Not only does hadith sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 6, Hadith 301 Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." says that there are more women in hell becuse of their deficiency in intelligence, they curse and are ungrateful to their husbands (there goes everything islamic apologists claim about this hadith), but other hadiths clearly says that women are compared to dogs and donkeys as well Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book 5, Hadith 1003 “The prayer is severed by a woman, a dog and a donkey.” Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 9, Hadith 493 Narrated `Aisha: The things which annul prayer were mentioned before me (and those were): a dog, a donkey and a woman. I said, "You have compared us (women) to donkeys and dogs. By Allah! I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) praying while I used to lie in (my) bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I disliked to sit and trouble the Prophet. So, I would slip away by the side of his feet." And sahih hadith also allow muslim men to beat their wives as they please ( and as hard as they like), as decribed in Qur'an 4:34) as a result of disobedience as well, backed up in Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari , Vol. 7, Book 72, Hadith 715 Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. `Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came, `Aisha said, "I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!" When `AbdurRahman heard that his wife had gone to the Prophet, he came with his two sons from another wife. She said, "By Allah! I have done no wrong to him but he is impotent and is as useless to me as this," holding and showing the fringe of her garment, `Abdur-Rahman said, "By Allah, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! She has told a lie! I am very strong and can satisfy her but she is disobedient and wants to go back to Rifa`a." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, to her, "If that is your intention, then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifa`a unless `Abdur-Rahman has had sexual intercourse with you." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) saw two boys with `Abdur- Rahman and asked (him), "Are these your sons?" On that `AbdurRahman said, "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You claim what you claim (i.e.. that he is impotent)? But by Allah, these boys resemble him as a crow resembles a crow," As women are degraded to whores in islam, as they have to accept being raped by thier own husband (Qur'an 4:34), islam accepts prostituion (Qur'an 4:24 , as Nikāḥ al-mutʿah temporary marriage in shia, and traveller wife in sunni, Misyar marriage), and islam even accepts adultry with non-muslim women (story about Maria, Qur'an 66:1-4), it is obvious that islam regards women as being lower than animals .. Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 10 Hadith 1160 Talq bin Ali narrated that The Messenger of Allah said: “When a man calls his wife to fulfill his need, then let her come, even if she is at the oven.” By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! No woman can fulfill her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for intimacy) even if she is on her camel saddle, she should not refuse. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1853]
There is more to the hadiths than just quoting it. 1) Deficiency in a sense that she cant pray, fast while on period and pregnancy issues. definciancy in her religion. Deficienacny in intellgence means Womans brain processing emotions. Emotional influences leads to making statments that have consequences. There are physiological differences in men and women. It is stating facts. Its your interpretation that somehow it claims woman are less than men. 1/3 of religion is learnt from Aisha RA and she was a woman. If that was the case she wouldnt be one of the greatest scholar and companions wouldnt go to her to learn about islam. 2) What the hadiths says is if the woman or dog or donkey passes infront of you while praying. You have repray it. There will be a lot of scholar commentry on this one since its a fiqhi issue. Hadiths have context too. 3) Again I know that hadith exists. But you have to look at scholarly commentries. There is more to fiqh than just stating hadeeths. Fiqh is a whole science where you learn about these matters. So dont go on making rulings out of one hadith without even knowing the scholarly comments who actually know what they are talking about. 4) Bullshit claims about adultry, beating, raping etc. I can go on with an actual discussion somewhere to show you why those claims are bullshit. 5) Nothing wrong with it. You have to understand the concept of marriage and social construct in Islam to understand this one. A wife is obligated to fullfill her husbands desire. She cant say no without a valid reason. If she does, she will be a sinner. Marriage is a contract that enslaves both with obligations and boundaries.
1) Your interpretation of the term "deficiency" is irrelevant, as the hadith clearly states that women are less than men because of their deficiency in INTELLIGENCE which has nothing to do with emotions, that there are more women than men in hell because of this (and because they curse and are ungrateful, it is claimed), and that Muhammad clearly affirms that women are less than men .. And I quote the passage "The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." Your claim is pure apologist nonsense .. 2) What nonsense .. What part of the SAHIH hadiths about women made equal to dogs and donkeys don't you understand? Not a single sahih hadith or islamic souce, including fiqh, has refuted this fact 3) What nonsense.. I doubt you know what fiqh even means .. Are you suggesting that fiqh can be discussed in islam? If so, you are engaging in ridda (apostacy) According to Shafi'i Shari'ah r14.1-2 says r14.1 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "Whoever speaks of the Book of Allah from his own opinion is in error." r14.2 (Nahlawi:) The jurist Abul Layth says in Bustan al-'arifin, "The [above] prohibition only applies to the allegorical parts of it (dis: w6), not to all of it, since Allah Most High says, "`As for those with deviance in their hearts, they pursue the allegorical of it' (Koran 3:7). it is even considered ridda to disregard fiqh (in sunni, the 4 islamic schools of thought), as stated in Shafi'i Shari'ah o8.2(19) ACTS THAT ENTAIL LEAVING ISLAM (19) to be sarcastic about any ruling of the Sacred Law; Disregaring a sahih hadith is considered apostacy too (which shows the importance of classifying hadiths) So don't go making statements about fiqh or hadiths of your own opinion, as it is considered ridda and at least considered taqqiya.. 4) If so, what is stopping you?.. Bring it on !!! 5) Thank you for admitting that muslim men can rape ther own wives, and if she resist he can beat her (Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11).. Fact is that muslim men OWN their women like dogs, and it is easy to prove Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11 says (husband-woman relation) m10.11 When a husband notices signs of rebelliousness in his wife (nushuz, dis: p42) (O: whether in words, as when she answers him coldly when she used to do so politely, or he asks her to come to bed and she refuses, contrary to her usual habit; or whether in acts, as when he finds her averse to him when she was previously kind and cheerful), he warns her in words (O: without keeping from her or hitting her, for it may be that she has an excuse. The warning could be to tell her, ``Fear Allah concerning the rights you owe to me,'' or it could be to explain that rebelliousness nullifies his obligation to support her and give her a turn amongst other wives, or it could be to inform her, ``Your obeying me [def: (3) below] is religiously obligatory''). If she commits rebelliousness, he keeps from sleeping (O: and having sex) with her without words, and may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not (A: bruise her,) break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow. (O: It is unlawful to strike another's face). He may hit her wether she is rebellious only once or whether more than once, though a weaker opinion holds that he may not hit her unless there is repeated rebelliousness. Besides, what is the penalty for leaving islam?
1) No where in the hadith it says Women are less than men. Read that hadith again. LoL. You are just inserting things. 2) There is a hadith which says Women are Shaqaiq ur rijaal. There is hadith which where prophet calls the person the best person who is most good to his wife. so that destroys your insertion and your second point. 3) I understand what Fiqh means. It can be discussed mate. Nobody is rejecting fiqh or sahih hadeeth. 4) You seems like an apostate, apostates are killed in an islamic state. There are different interpretation but 4 madhabs agree on it. I suggest you to read jonthan Browns research on Capital punishment of Apostasy. by the way nice quotes you have gathered some of them are irrelevent lol. Bunch of claims and terminology that you dont even understand. lol taqiyya. I am not gonna continues this discussion here. 1) A hadith saying that women are made equal to dogs and donkeys, that women are unintelligent (and YOU are the one inserting things in your shameless attempt to whitewash islam), and that they propably end up in hell becasue of this, and you reject that women in islam are degraded .. :D 2) Thank you for proving my points, as your lack of references and proof speaks for itself.. ;-) 3) No, you have no idea what fiqh is, as you clearly haven't studied a single islamic school of thought, nor understood a word it says .. I suggest you read islamic sources about the subject ;-) 4) According to Qur'an 4:89-90 (4:90 is abrogated by Qur'am 9:5), Shafi'i Shari'ah o1.2(2+3) + Shafi'i Shari'ah o8.1-2, the only punishement for apostacy is death .. And really, your books about the subject written by apologists have no interest, nor relevant, as every islamic school of thought agrees upon this subject. 5) What is wrong, are your feeling uncomfortable? :D
1) That was said by Aisha Ra not prophet pbuh and three things that annul the prayer were mentioned for men. I yet have to see the scholarly commentry of that hadeeth. The word is not unintelligent. Its Naqs in intelligence and religion. Naqs is like a deficiency. I explained both before what it was meant by Naqs. Men have thier Naqs like quran says men are weak in relation to women. Nothing sexist there Its just a fact. 2) How did i prove your point? I gave you 2 hadiths which contradicted your insertion or inference of that hadith? which you had said there is nothing in fiqh which refutes. LOL 3) I think I know what I am talking about. you were the one using the word taqqiya without even understanding it. smh 4) I know I never said anything against it. Other 3 madhabs also say the same thing. But there are different interpretation and arguments presented. Apostasy is not in the four agreed upon capital punishments. 5) You dont seem like an intellectually honest person to argue with. I also dont like machine gun tactic like I said. I dont see if woman were degraded in Islam, Why do muslim women get so many rights and less obliations? Why status of mother is 3x higher than father? Why does she completes half of deen when married to a guy? Why is jannah under the feet of woman? Why is best of the people who is best to his wife? Why did prophet pbuh never raised his hands on women and children? If islam teaches us to?

In the 5.3% of the verses in which women are held to a high esteem, the woman plays the role of a mother; and in the 23% in which women are ‘equal’, they are not demonized, but judged on the degree to which she obeys her husband. Summary:
People have deficiencies in various aspects of their religion or faith.
For eg: a blind man is deficient in his religion because he is restricted as he cannot read the Quran.
A man who cannot speak is deficient in his religion because he cannot recite the Quran
Similarly the female is deficient in her religion during her menstruation as she can not pray the Salah during that time.
@@roberthannah7983 bro can you explain the hadith. Is it ok if I reject it.
@kt95 gy The wiki summary on sex differences does not indicate any significant differences in general intelligence -
"Differences in human intelligence have long been a topic of debate among researchers and scholars. With the advent of the concept of g factor or general intelligence, many researchers have argued that there are no significant sex differences in general intelligence, although ability in particular types of intelligence does appear to vary.[3][4] In particular, studies have shown female subjects performing better on tasks related to verbal ability,[2] and males performing better on tasks related to rotation of objects in space, often categorized as spatial ability.[5]
Some research indicates that male advantages on some cognitive tests are minimized when controlling for socioeconomic factors.[1][4] Other research has concluded that there is slightly larger variability in male scores in certain areas compared to female scores, which results in more males than females in the top and bottom of the IQ distribution.

Answer:
Praise be to Allah.
He said: “That is how she is lacking in religious commitment.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that her lacking in reason refers to her weak memory, and that her testimony must be supported by the testimony of another woman, in order to confirm the testimony, because she may forget, and add something to or take something away from her testimony, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her”
[al-Baqarah 2:282].
Yes, the male gender is superior to the female gender in general, for many reasons, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”
[al-Nisa’ 4:34].

And as Baaz recognizes it says nothing about individual differences.

if women are deficient, why Àllah gives same punishments to men b women?
Muslim scholars put all their efforts to degrade women status in Islam.
if this man says truth, it means Islam disrespects women.
The Koran does say women are inferior. It says they should be submissive to their husbands and that men have the right to "discipline them, either verbally or physically. That proves it's sexist.
Qur'an does not say anything like this. I challenge u.
Qur'an says that men are above women. Qur'an 4:34 says
Men are in charge of, they have authority over, women, disciplining them and keeping them in check,
because of that with which God has preferred the one over the other, that is, because God has given them
the advantage over women, in knowledge, reason, authority and otherwise, and because of what they
expend, on them [the women], of their property. Therefore righteous women, among them, are obedient, to
their husbands, guarding in the unseen, that is, [guarding] their private parts and otherwise during their
spouses’ absence, because of what God has guarded, for them, when He enjoined their male spouses to
look after them well. And those you fear may be rebellious, disobedient to you, when such signs appear,
admonish them, make them fear God, and share not beds with them, retire to other beds if they manifest
such disobedience, and strike them, but not violently, if they refuse to desist [from their rebellion] after
leaving them [in separate beds]. If they then obey you, in what is desired from them, do not seek a way
against them, a reason to strike them unjustly. God is ever High, Great, so beware of Him, lest He punish
you for treating them unjustly.
it is even fiqh, as Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11 clearly states the above

A man has no superiority over his parents .
A man being father is superior to his son.
A woman being mother is 3 times superior to his son.
Heaven lies under the feet of ur mother.
A man being a husband is the head of family.

Sahih al-Bukhari Book 48 Hadith 826 is the proof for this hadith
I love it how he compares women with children and lame and blind people, like womanhood is the same as illness or being a child. "A woman is not given the same responsibilities because she can get pregnant." How long are you pregnant for? 9 months. For how long are you incapacitated because of pregnancy? Maybe 2 or 3 months at most. Bearing in mind that most women have 2 or 3 children at most, that's a tiny percentage of their lives. He's an idiot.

I take the comment as historical and not universal, from an era when women were uneducated and subservient in a paternalistic society. Modern evidence and research shows no difference in intelligence between women and men.
@@roberthannah7983 There is nothing sexist about it, there is only your bias. Firstly he said it’s a burden. When he said it was an illness, it meant that all the symptoms that accompany it, like vomiting, mood swings etc are exactly like an illness.

Yusuf often remarks that "in the sharia .. " or "the sharia says.." as if this is clearly codified somewhere. It isnt. Any islamic women defending this state about deficiency in intelligence, proves the hadiths validity
Not only does hadith sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 6, Hadith 301
Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."
says that there are more women in hell becuse of their deficiency in intelligence, they curse and are ungrateful to their husbands (there goes everything islamic apologists claim about this hadith), but other hadiths clearly says that women are compared to dogs and donkeys as well
Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book 5, Hadith 1003
“The prayer is severed by a woman, a dog and a donkey.”
Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 9, Hadith 493
Narrated `Aisha:
The things which annul prayer were mentioned before me (and those were): a dog, a donkey and a woman. I said, "You have compared us (women) to donkeys and dogs. By Allah! I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) praying while I used to lie in (my) bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I disliked to sit and trouble the Prophet. So, I would slip away by the side of his feet."
And sahih hadith also allow muslim men to beat their wives as they please ( and as hard as they like), as decribed in Qur'an 4:34) as a result of disobedience as well, backed up in
Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari , Vol. 7, Book 72, Hadith 715
Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. But by Allah, these boys resemble him as a crow resembles a crow,"
As women are degraded to whores in islam, as they have to accept being raped by thier own husband (Qur'an 4:34), islam accepts prostituion (Qur'an 4:24 , as Nikāḥ al-mutʿah temporary marriage in shia, and traveller wife in sunni, Misyar marriage), and islam even accepts adultry with non-muslim women (story about Maria, Qur'an 66:1-4), it is obvious that islam regards women as being lower than animals ..

There is more to the hadiths than just quoting it.
1) Deficiency in a
sense that she cant pray, fast while on period and pregnancy issues.
definciancy in her religion. Deficienacny in intellgence means Womans
brain processing emotions. Emotional influences leads to making
statments that have consequences. There are physiological differences in
men and women. It is stating facts. Its your interpretation that
somehow it claims woman are less than men.
1/3 of religion is learnt from Aisha RA and she was a woman. If that was
the case she wouldnt be one of the greatest scholar and companions
wouldnt go to her to learn about islam.
And I quote the passage
"The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."
Your claim is pure apologist nonsense ..
2) What nonsense .. What part of the SAHIH hadiths about women made equal to dogs and donkeys don't you understand? Not a single sahih hadith or islamic souce, including fiqh, has refuted this fact
3) What nonsense.. I doubt you know what fiqh even means .. Are you suggesting that fiqh can be discussed in islam? If so, you are engaging in ridda (apostacy)
According to Shafi'i Shari'ah r14.1-2 says
r14.1 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "Whoever speaks of the Book of Allah from his own opinion is in error."
r14.2 (Nahlawi:) The jurist Abul Layth says in Bustan al-'arifin, "The [above] prohibition only applies to
the allegorical parts of it (dis: w6), not to all of it, since Allah Most High says, "`As for those with deviance in their hearts, they pursue the allegorical of it' (Koran 3:7).
it is even considered ridda to disregard fiqh (in sunni, the 4 islamic schools of thought), as stated in Shafi'i Shari'ah o8.2(19)
ACTS THAT ENTAIL LEAVING ISLAM
(19) to be sarcastic about any ruling of the Sacred Law;
Disregaring a sahih hadith is considered apostacy too (which shows the importance of classifying hadiths)
So don't go making statements about fiqh or hadiths of your own opinion, as it is considered ridda and at least considered taqqiya..
4) If so, what is stopping you?.. Bring it on !!!
5) Thank you for admitting that muslim men can rape ther own wives, and if she resist he can beat her (Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11).. Fact is that muslim men OWN their women like dogs, and it is easy to prove
Shafi'i Shari'ah m10.11 says (husband-woman relation)
m10.11 When a husband notices signs of rebelliousness in his wife (nushuz, dis: p42) (O: whether in
words, as when she answers him coldly when she used to do so politely, or he asks her to come to bed
and she refuses, contrary to her usual habit; or whether in acts, as when he finds her averse to him when
she was previously kind and cheerful), he warns her in words (O: without keeping from her or hitting
her, for it may be that she has an excuse. The warning could be to tell her, ``Fear Allah concerning the
rights you owe to me,'' or it could be to explain that rebelliousness nullifies his obligation to support her
and give her a turn amongst other wives, or it could be to inform her, ``Your obeying me [def: (3)
below] is religiously obligatory''). If she commits rebelliousness, he keeps from sleeping (O: and having
sex) with her without words, and may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not (A:
bruise her,) break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow. (O: It is unlawful to strike another's face).
He may hit her wether she is rebellious only once or whether more than once, though a weaker opinion
holds that he may not hit her unless there is repeated rebelliousness.
I dont like this Machine gun tactic where apostate shoot bunch of claims and the next person cant discuss all of them. Nice job mate. I am not gonna continue this. So Peace mate.
1) A hadith saying that women are made equal to dogs and donkeys, that women are unintelligent (and YOU are the one inserting things in your shameless attempt to whitewash islam), and that they propably end up in hell becasue of this, and you reject that women in islam are degraded .. :D
2) Thank you for proving my points, as your lack of references and proof speaks for itself.. ;-)
3) No, you have no idea what fiqh is, as you clearly haven't studied a single islamic school of thought, nor understood a word it says .. I suggest you read islamic sources about the subject ;-)
4) According to Qur'an 4:89-90 (4:90 is abrogated by Qur'am 9:5), Shafi'i Shari'ah o1.2(2+3) + Shafi'i Shari'ah o8.1-2, the only punishement for apostacy is death ..
LOL
3) I think I know what I am talking about. you were the one using the word taqqiya without even understanding it. smh
4) I know I never said anything against it.
"Of all the verses that are about women; in 5.3% of them, women are held to a high esteem; in 23% of them, women are described as ‘equal’ (in the sense that they are not demonized); and in 71% of them, women are held to a low esteem. In the 5.3% of the verses in which women are held to a high esteem, the woman plays the role of a mother; and in the 23% in which women are ‘equal’, they are not demonized, but judged on the degree to which she obeys her husband. Of the amount of the Hadith that is about women; in 0.13% of the text they are held in high esteem, in 93% of the text, they are held to a low esteem and in the remaining 7.1%, they are held to an equal esteem" (Center for the Study of Political Islam)
Dutchess please actually read the quran instead of gathering info from unreliable sources
@@sarahbrittney7299 are you talking about those Quran's imported which have verses left out or are you talking about the Internationally recognized Sahih Al Bukara? If you want to know how the Sharia is implemented, take a close look at Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan!
Dutchess I’m a white christian, but my husband is a pakistani muslim. He and his family are the sweetest. I’ve read the quran to learn more about him and it’s not about violence that christians emphasize. The reality is that Islam is growing faster than any religion, and in about 30 years it will be the #1 religion. Some of us christians are intimidated by that so we attack other religions
Dutchess they believe the hadiths are supplements but not crucial to the religion. They believe Quran is god’s word and hadiths are collections of what Muhammad said a long time AFTER he died, therefore hadiths have to be scrutinized in order to be considered credible
@@sarahbrittney7299 I know what the Hadith is. I also know that both the Quran and the Hadith were written a 150 years after the death of the Prophet. My point is that we have the Quran written in Medina , the peaceful verses and the Quran written in Mecca, the violent verses which came after. These verses are not in chronological order in the Quran. And yes the Quran is violent as well and yes it does say women are worth half of men and yes it does say men can hit their wives and yes it does call for the death of gays, apostates and non believers. You can twist it all you want but it is merely an ideology that is incompatible with the West. One close look at those countries where the Sharia is implemented and we see the autonomy of people non existent!
Even scholars have to tell lies to defend their religion. Amazing.
Its finally time for muslims to categorically reject the "womens' witness rule" (witness of 2 women = that of one man in finance) Qur'an 2:282.
th-cam.com/video/zxDwhplw8aE/w-d-xo.html
@@usamamustafa6460 Naik subscribes to the view that the financial burden is put on the man, so women do not need to be preoccupied with finance. Hence their lessened importance in financial matters, to which the womens witness rule applies. This is exactly the kind of misogynist view we are trying to get rid of in society. An additional problem with the womens witness rule is that Muslims can use reasoning by analogy (qiya) to extrapolate it to other issues and situations.
I would not want to quote Naik to support my views. He is kind of a joke.
@@roberthannah7983 that's not mysogony. In islam the man is responsible for the financial burden. Seeing women are not responsible for finances giving a second witness to validate the 1st witnesses' testimony is not misogynist.
Paul states women are created in the image of man. Why dont you try to stop this misogyny that women are in the image of man instead
@@omaralyafai2368 I have to disagree. Neither is created in the image of the other, man and women are both human and have equal rights. St. Paul and the prophet were from a time when women were regarded as little more than property, and they made a contribution to improving their lot. It is up to us to continue.
I have been a financial trader in my career and dealt with many female colleagues. They are as sharp as any man. The idea that women cannot deal in finance is silly and misogynist.
@@roberthannah7983 paul clearly states that women are made in man's image and that women are to to take positions of power. You chrostians foam at the mouth to lie or call the prophet pbuh a sexist but yet your bible is worst. You're making excuses. It doesnt matter what time paul lived in. This is your scripture and should be the way you see things
The answer to this is: look at feminists today
lol As a Muslim, i agree.
@@meriemmaroc319 I have to admit, from an Islamic standpoint both men and women nowadays are VERY shameless.
No One dumb what??? You just proved my point , you look at women with lust and consider them as sexual object as YOU don’t follow islam. And YES i am a modern woman hamdullah 😎 go ahead and cry you need milk poor baby. You are soo concerned with what women do that you don’t even realize your own BIG faults and sins. Allah is watching, ALWAYS 👌🏼and now i hope you don’t break your fast, IF you are fasting of course 😑😂😂
@No One LOL LOL kiddy kid, its laughable you who should be so ASHAMED of yourself for being such a fool/dummy to be shackled and lied to by the hoax of islam, claims women are shameless...and many of us are far 'intellectually superior' to ANY muslim male lol

All the mental gymnastics that is done in this video to explain 'text' opens the door for multiple interpretations. As Sam Harris said " Islam is the motherload of bad ideas'
@Bill honeybun! I merely quoted Sam Harris. His words on Islam happen to be truth in context of all those countries that practice the Sharia! STay on topic pluheeze!
@Bill loll. I am not a man. I am a mother of three beautiful daughters ;) And just like Islam, Zionism is a political ideology as well ;) Next!
@Bill unfortunately about both! Islam cannot be criticized and Free Speech is its biggest enemy and one has to wonder why God gave mankind a brain and a voice and you don't have to be a Jew to be a Zionist. It is a political ideology taking advantage of Jews in order to advance political agendas.
@Bill freedom is the freedom OF and FROM any Religion or Ideology. Individual Liberty as under the US Constitution. The very principles that have given us Universal Human Rights and the Enlightenment. Your Individual Freedom to practice your religion away from mine. The opposite of Multiculturalism and Theocracy.
@Bill I agree with everything you said. However, one only has to take one close look and see how the Sharia is practiced in countries where it is the State religion. I have friends that are Muslim and don't want to live under the Muslim brotherhood for example. They want to live in secular countries. I am not saying there are no Muslims with deviations but when push comes to shove, these 'reformist' Muslims will be kept in check by the doctrine of Islam.
fake hadith
Jun the hadith is 100% fabricated, the speaker is not even credible. And the quran says you need 2 women for 1 men because women are WAAAY more likely to conform to what others are saying than men. For an example, if everyone thinks someone is guilty, a female will way more likely be influenced by society’s beliefs than a man. if there are 2 women, they will scrutinize each other and therefore are more reliable ( please look up on youtube “gender conformity research psychology”
dont lie... here is the proof (Sahih al-Bukhari Book 48 Hadith 826)
Its Sahih, just bc your embarrassed doesn't mean you can say its fake. Your prophet thought women were inferior to men in every way
"The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of
the deficiency of a woman's mind.""
-Sahih al-Bukhari 2658
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “O women, give in charity and pray a great deal for forgiveness, for I have seen that you form the majority of the people of Hell.” A woman who was very wise said: “Why is it, O Messenger of Allah, that we form the majority of the people of Hell?” He said: “You curse a great deal and you are ungrateful to your husbands, and I have never seen anyone lacking in discernment and religion more overwhelming to a man of wisdom than you.” She said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is this lacking in discernment and religion?” He said: “The lack of discernment is the fact that the testimony of two women is equal to the testimony of one man; this is the lack of reason. And (a woman) spends several nights when she does not pray, and she does not fast in Ramadhan, and this is the lack in religion.”
-Sunan Ibn Majah 4003
"Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand."
-Quran 4:34
The womens witness rule 2women=1 man is in the Quran, its not a hadith.
