They both worry too much! I'd never say triple; I might subtly say, "back off a bit, this is a genuine caution" but when you let the driver start thinking it all goes wrong 🤣

Don't get me wrong, WRC and ERC are amazing, but this seems really interesting too. There's a big variety of cars, drivers seem to be a little lower level (which is not bad, since it shows the fans they could probably try to take part themselves) and it feels somehow pure. Not sure why, maybe it reminds me of the early days of rallying, where there were many different cars, without too much modification and teams were not so professional as they are now. It feels magical. So does WRC, but in a different way.
It's just cool that probably the WRC's biggest rallying competitor (maybe apart from Dakar) is so similar to our national championships in Europe. I may start following this a bit more.
Especially the SUVs, very intresting.

I’m the days leading up to it we got some rain/freezing rain which then turned to snow. By the weekend we had snow on top of ice. What a mess. It made for more entertaining racing though.
Definitely more of a grassroots thing compared to WRC. Anybody and their mother (literally, that could be a team) can compete. I'm building a car myself and hope to compete this year! They have a Limited class which is much more stock on the drivetrain and body side compared to the Open classes, and broken down further by 4WD/2WD.

RWD is very capable for rally, just watch some of the old Escorts at the 80s British rallies and you'll see. The channel VHS Rallies has tons of interesting vintage content.

The works Subarus are 2/3 proper WRC car. They are on pace pretty much everywhere. 🔥🔥.. my hero is hooper in the screaming is350... Proper stuff.

There are quite a lot of Hyundai and Ford in the video. Are those R5 or WRC spec vehicles?
What's the best differential for RWD a 1 way, 1,5 way or 2 way?, a full locked or a welded diff probably would give a lot of acceleration in the straight lines but what would happen in the corners?

10:55 what are thoughs people doing sitting on the outer side exit of a corner... They even have their little kids with them there. Authorities should never allow people to be there. They also lack knowledge of any saftey for rally racing. Never stand on the outer side of a corner when watching rally. A car can hit you if it over shoots and rocks can also hit you.
Damn seeing that 43 from time to time is going to suck the life out of ARA 2023. I hope Travis does another KBForever livery like he did for his Nitro RallyCross car.

Combination of money and government regulations. No cars homologated by the FIA in the past 10+ years are legal to own in the U.S. because none of them were sold here by the manufacturer. Cheaper and easier to just build a car than try to exploit dubious loopholes importing an FIA car
