Contrary to what most media outlets are saying slim fit jeans are still in style and they won't be going anywhere anytime soon. There are a lot of reviews over Levi's, but they all are comparison showing multiple pairs of denim jeans. In this video, we go a little further in depth on a specific pair of jeans, which in this case are the Levi's Men's 511 Slim Fit.
Hopefully this review will give you all the information you need before you decide whether you should or should not buy this pair of men's denim.

Nice Vid! I also bought a couple pairs. The guy at the Levi's Premium Store told me for the "Midnight Rinse" immediately wash them in cold water with a table spoon of white vinegar to lock in the color. After that, only wash if necessary in cold water inside out and hang dry.

Is there a size difference between blue and black Levis 511 slim fit? Is the same size 36 for both blue and black? Because I bought the blue 38 size, and it seems to me that they Are to comfortable for me. And when I tried size 36 black ones, I could not get into them. Tnx

@@ChrisRawls I rock the 512 more than the 511... I like the taper the 512 has with a smaller leg opening to show your shoes off better.

have they totally changed the fit? Have some 34s from a few years ago, just bought some more, and they barely fit, incredibly tight around the calves and around the thighs, can barely walk in them, meanwhile my old pair barely stays up.

Im a very thin man, my measumerents: height 172cm/5ft 7f. weight: 60kg /132.3lb waist: 29 .Last i try this 511 i notice that on waist area are nice, on thighs acceptable but calves and ankle area have a lot of excess material. This jeans give me this bellbottoms look . Or if i cuffed them the leg opening stick outside the outline of the shoe a lot, making this "flood" pants effect. My brother with much huskier build look very good in them . But i dont recommended them for "thiner" man. I need pick up 510 because they look more like slim fit jeans on me.
512's sound like the fit for you
Levi's are the only jeans that have stood up to working and exercise and also lounging about without ripping or tearing or fading excessively. The only time I have ever gotten a tear was when I accidently cut them myself lol. Levi's ARE the meat and potatoes 😎

Yeah I wore Levi’s for ages, got a pair of tommy jeans to try a different thing and they do not compare at all in terms of quality, toughness etc. Levi’s are the bees knees. Great review. I usually wear 511 but I’m gonna go 512 next, dark wash with white runners is an absolute classic look

How has that jean held up after washing? Did it shrivel up, shrink, or lose its shape? I was thinking of buying these jeans. but I was worried that the lyocell and elastane will reduce the longevity/durability of the jeans.
I was actually thinking about doing an update video. So far so good honestly. They've kept their shape and length, no noticeable fading or tears.
Please recommend a super high end brand with this type of fit, i like how these fit but i want something that is better quality.
I'll work on a list video, but off of the top of my head brands that make similar fits at the higher end A.P.C, Acne, Rogue Territory, Saint Laurent. Naked & Famous is a pretty good brand too, but their designs are more "adventurous"
I like the 513s more, but Levi’s discontinued them, the 513 is the same as the 511, but with a slightly larger leg opening, pretty much a straight leg opening, in my experience even the 511s sit on top of the sneakers. My favorite is the 505 though, right around an 8 inch leg opening, but I can wear them with anything up to a cowboy boot, I can’t do that with 511s.
May have to give the 513s a try. Looking for some boots for the fall/winter, so they sound like they would be perfect for that.
I buy a pair about every 3 years and beat the hell out of them traveling and skateboarding. They last and look better with time

Do they get comfortable with time around the waist? Because i just ordered them in my regular size and they are kind of tight.
Yeah, they take a few wears to break in. I would recommend not washing them for 5 wears. Levi's says 10 but that's a bit much to me. Be sure to let them hang dry too or no heat tumble. If you dry with heat they will snap back to the original feeling.

I'm done with stretch jeans, even tho they are the comfiest when new, but they were so fast, I'm throwing out 3 pairs of jeans bc they are sacky AF, looks like they are 2 sizes to big. not the most sustaniable

Appreciate That! The bracelet is from ASOS (bit.ly/2W530SO) it's ok, but nothing special as far as quality, but it is super cheap.
I usually will buy a piece from ASOS or H&M first to see if I actually like it then go buy a better quality one elsewhere if I really like it. I'm still relatively new to wearing more jewelry other than watches or a basic necklace, so I'm still experimenting myself.

Hmmm....I'm not sure if black tab 511s are the same material blend so they may have some different characteristics to them.
How much do they shrink? I just got a pair from Amazon and they're snug.
Not much at all. Just be sure to wash them inside out and hang dry or tumble dry with no heat.

Since the review, they're still holding up nicely. No major rips, no loose threads, and they've been washed a lot.

Should still be pretty good. Maybe a little less stretch in them but that will be the biggest difference.

@@ChrisRawls I have a pair of 1978 LVC selvedge levis that are a 501 that I like and I just picked up a pair of slim fit Uniqulo Selvedge jeans in a 31/30 that fit really great. The 501's are 100% cotton and the uniqlos are 98% cotton with 2% nylon for a slight stretch. I also have some 505's that fit pretty well
