The trials you appear to handle, with patience, 3 kids on board and the Nordhaven to run and maintain is amazing. I love seeing toys all over the kids rooms, I like that you show us the real family life onboard, I don't need to watch perfect people on perfect boats, videos like that are not what I want to watch. I even enjoy going to the grocery store with you and the kids. Keep doing what you do to have fun and really enjoy your time on the water and showing the kids a different lifestyle that most children don't get to see. Good job!!
Let's start off with a general comment that if someone is traveling around the world full-time with a family, that is a sign of affluence. These boats are not cheap. Some channels might make some money by monetizing their channels, but they did not start off that way. One channel has a group of 20-somethings tooling around on a yacht. They don't have college loans to pay off. And take a look at these people's teeth. Just saying.
The 1st sign of a wealthy boat owner is people on a boat you don’t have to air up,and large enough to call it there summer home! Who needs water! Just take me to the Bahamas where the water runs plenty full out the end of a hose for 71 cents a gallon ! 😂
GREAT video… love the comments on the use of water, hard for most people to imagine paying .70/ gallon of water from a deck hose. But… I remember one time doing a calculation on making my own water. Between all the power to operate the water maker and equipment maintenance… my best estimate was .15/ gal. As always… Another great video

Wealthy and wasteful are not the same thing. It is a good platforn to make a vid. You are wealthy enough to afford a Nordhaven and have the financials to support the 4 of you. You are just not wasteful. Prrhaps the real difference is upbringing? You have been taught and teach your children to not be waistful. Well done PARENTS!

Sometimes it changes especially if it’s a crowded anchorage then we don’t throw as much chain out but we always try for a 7:1 scope if we can because peace of mind!
Do I envy you? oh yes I do...I know it's not always smooth sailing on board, things break, the kids get bored sometimes, but what a life. Every once in a while sit down and think about how lucky you are! because in the end you are very lucky

Yes it does help with insurance! And our solar panels are older so not super efficient! We want to upgrade them.
Just temember, time is non-renewable. Take the time and live it to the fullest!

When you drop the hook, do you have a standard 7:1, 5:1 ratio regardless of the location or does it vary depending on the anchorage?
Sometimes it changes especially if it’s a crowded anchorage then we don’t throw as much chain out but we always try for a 7:1 scope if we can because peace of mind!
