For the fit, if you don’t like a snug fit, go up half a size. I have a medium width foot with a high arch, and the 2017 Emerald pairs killed my feet. I got these from Goat, and went up half a size, and they fit 10X better. To each’s own on the fit, but it is not recommended to wear sneakers snug. It is recommended to have some space in your shoes, so that your toes don’t crop together or over one another. But again to each’s own. Flat footed people, go up a whole size!

If you went down a half a size in the 96, then I’m not confident you know your size and whatever that half size down is actually your true size lol. Dt 96 are so snug.
