Why doesn't the lock manufacturer cut false gates in every false position? Also why don't they cut the false gates so that they have the same width as the true gate?
I think this was a mistaken idea on my part, although false gates of various depths might work. I don't see why the width of the false gate matters. Obviously it cannot be as deep as a true gate.

As the Abus Plus locks have mixed stamped and unstamped discs (provided they haven't run out of the old ones yet), would it be worth it to attempt the old attack to figure out at least whichever discs are stamped first, before attempting to decode manually the rest of the discs?
ha im sure schuyler is the only person in the world who has a mini mill in his bed room. good luck making picks. i made a few and ended up buying a cheap set of picks which felt alot different in a good way .
Only person in the world is abit too far fetched lol. For one, i myself made my own lock picks from the hacksaw blade and i prefer them over the lock picks i bought. In fact, they open up much faster via raking somehow. It's a normal hook lp.

Why would they cut a false gate the same as a true gate? The key wouldn't work then!
