Hi! I ended up picking up Angels and Ancestors during the Hay House sale. I own nothing like it. Looking for a pairing of course. I honestly don’t think I have a tarot deck that would pair well with it.
Thanks for the comparison! Do you think it would be worth it to have both decks? It seems like there's a lot of crossover. I'm wondering if you could mix the decks and get one really well rounded, earthy deck--albeit different artwork. Are you going to use both? TIA!
I like that idea. There's a great video by Steven Bright where he joins the Thelema and the Arcanam tarot decks - he calls it a "mash-up"! th-cam.com/video/oFj4-XH1PRY/w-d-xo.html I think it would be challenging to make one oracle deck from these two with the artwork being so different and while there is some crossover, there is not enough to make one. I will definitely use both for teaching but probably only use the Mystical Shaman for readings. If you have the money and presently don't own either, I'd invest in the Mystical Shaman. It is an experience of a deck right from the unboxing!
Angels and ancestors is so much better, the guide book is great compared to the mystical shaman. I love the art in that deck but they didn't research enough. You can still buy for the art alone but it takes away.
