  • "Your eyes are the gateway to your soul," says Dr. Kaweh Mansouri. Even though we take our sight for granted, Mansouri shows that because the eye is actually part of our central nervous system, it holds the potential to reveal so much about a person. He give us a first-hand demo of the first intelligent contact lens he's developed that not only monitors disease like glaucoma, but also reveals other aspects of our overall health and even emotion.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I heard this in my early years of childhood and ever since then I avoided eye contact because I was scared people would see what was inside, all the bad things I kept to myself.

(I haven't watched the video yet but i think i can ask this here) What does it mean if when you make eye contact with someone, even if you have made eye contact with them before, you feel this little "spark"* for a split second and just you just kind of stand/sit there wondering "what was that" because its a good feeling what is that feeling, why does it come, and is it mutual?
*I say spark for lack of a better word. its a feeling like a little quick but powerful surge or spark feeling

The eyes speak and they lock you in a moment of eternity. 4 or more times I was struck by a feeling I've never had by anyone, but I'm not sure she felt the same.

Things are thought "outlandish" once & accepted as normal today. In the case of health we can google "root/emotional causes of physical illnesses" and come up with some common grounds. The answer is over the allowed characters here, so I put in on your comments page...in short it's:
"not being able to enjoy the sweetness in life."

It is ironic that the misleading title reveals a glimpse into the future; fascinating, yet invasive technology!
