Thanks for sharing! I was in Iceland last summer and drove around it etc, one of the places being Snaefellsnes peninsula and i remember those specific places you were in. Really beautiful sceneries there and in Iceland in general of course. I think i was very lucky with the weather on my last trip as it was pretty much only 1 day out of 2 weeks that rain kept me indoors. Now going back in a few weeks and i really hope it will hold up nicely! I look forward to seeing more of your videos and hopefully get some location inspiration too!

Hey Thomas. I'm a big fan of yours, but now I am a bit shocked. In your scene at Londrangar you went ahead of the visitor platform on to the cliffs. I have been there on my own and saw people climbing on this narrow pile. There a so many stories of tourists doing dangerous and silly things, I don't understand you did so. The view from the platform is more than gorgeous so you don't have too or shall not risk lifes for getting a photograph. It's not worth it. And yes, the stack is stable, but one wrong step, a loose rock or wet grass… Best regards, Sebastian.

Thomas... I love your videos, insights, and passion for photography but I have some concerns about what I saw in this video. I was just at this location last week and I know there are signs everywhere asking people to stay on paths and not tread on the fragile summer growth. I worry that your videos are so heavily followed that others who watch them will do as they saw in your video and disregard the signs that are there to help preserve the beauty of these areas. Please help keep these beautiful Icelandic locations preserved and show videos of you and others promoting preservation - even if that means you don't get the perfect angle. Thanks.

It looks like you are all on the other way of the border of the path at the end of the cliff in the beginning of the video. Did you or Thor learn why was it there? Did the other participants? Just curious... I have of course my own little idea after more than 15 years of landscape photography and some 25 years of outdoor ... I wonder how would these kind of "barriers" be understood by some other photographers especially from out of Europe ... Do you think that it is only for the safety or maybe for the environment protection issues ????

A question not specific to this video. I'm experimenting with long exposures, due largely to your influence. Yesterday I had epic sundown light, related to an approaching storm. Unfortunately, that storm approached with 15 mph winds that induced camera shake to my images, ruining them. I was using a 70-200 lens which probably exacerbated things. I didn't see the shake until editing. I used a cable release AND a 2-second delay, still got shake from the wind. In your experience, what's the most wind you'd try long exposures in? Or, conversely, what's the shortest shutter speed you'd try in the conditions I had yesterday, especially with a long lens? Thanks.

Clearly the fitter the better, but normally how fit does someone need to be Tom in order to participate in and enjoy one of your workshops? I ask this for myself as I would hesitate to join a hiking and camping workshop with arthritis and constant pain in one of my knees that may slow down the group or ultimately result in my inability to continue with the workshop. I would love to be part of a workshop like the ones you run but have not yet pulled the trigger.

When your doing long time exposures do you use a app to figure out how long to expose the image or do you just know from experience or like me a good estimator and take more than photo (yes I'm old I still bracket)
And on Iceland I do know one thing that black sand gets into everything, I was stationed there for a little over a year, and when my stuff got to my next base near Ipswich I was still finding black sand in my bags and such.

I guess the term ‘safe’ is subjective. Maybe it’s just the video camera POV but that narrow ledge with so many people and tripods on it looks scary to me.
