- *parts list below* This is a mix of various videos I created while building my Jeep for overlanding. This is a Wrangler JKU Rubicon that I've outfitted for the overland trails of Utah. The cabinet is custom built with a space for an ARB fridge. I'm also donning an ARB awning, James Baroud roof top tent, AEV bumpers and wheels, and an Optima dual battery setup. I'll show you various stages of the complete build of my Jeep.

There are fans on the side of the fridge so it can breath you have to leave enough space on the sides for that and it looks like you have it pretty tight in there on both sides just a little FYI

I like how you mounted the grill on the sliders so like that the all the oil and the meat juices just fall to the ground while grilling, just be careful with BEARS lol. 😃😃

HI great build I have a similar set up in the back of my JKU and I am wondering what paddle latch did you use? can you share the link? They look clean and definitely want to install something like that.

you ever need your back seats? ever use them? could probably extract them and put in extended whatever storage right? maybe leave one back seat in...
What is the actual heating device? And how does the battery can handle heat all night? How many watts the heater is? Thanks!

I know it's been 5 years since you posted this and the link to the KV sliders is not working. did you happen to make a note of the exact undermount slider you used?
Sorry, don't have it. I wish those things were easier to find. I don't have the jeep anymore, but I've kept the sliders because they are hard to find.

I have the same Yakima rack and was hesitant on a roof top tent because of low weight rating of the top! Any problems with this set up?

@@joshsgarage1545 how did you mount the yakima racks directly to the fiberglass top...those bars would be alot cheaper than buying some overpriced racks....please tell me how your mounted them
@@blackdiamondrob Great question. I used 3 crossbars and mounted the Yakima landing pads to the roof - amzn.to/2GPZbX3 (landing pads). A local shop here in Utah says they do the landing pads on jeeps all the time. You just have to mount them along the raised ridges of the fiberglass. My front most set of pads was actually on mounted on the removable top sections. It worked great on many rough trails and my fat butt getting up there every night.
For this setup did you sacrifice your passenger seat?
No. Just installed the inverter underneath. Everything else went in the rear of the back seat. Could still seat 5 up front.
I think your fridge isn't optimally setup because the ventilation is blocked.
John LaFosse totally agree. I have the 50qt and it will freeze so I keep mine set at 36 and it mounted outside. Keeps everything ice cold hands down best thing I’ve ever bought!

Thanks. Wow, $85 just for one rail? Won't be too bad if they come is pairs. Yes, most of them I've seen are sold overseas.
Did you make sub boxes? Do you have a video on them?
I did make them. I should have shot a video, but it was right before I started the channel. I actually took them out of the Jeep and they are collecting dust on my shelf.
Bummer. I am looking to do the same.My sub box takes up to much space.

Great video. Thanks. You should check out goal zero. They have great solar powered generators that will power everything and have their own batteries. In case yours dies or what ever

I don't require heat while sleeping. Get a better sleeping bag or bring another comforter. You only need heat for when you go to bed and get up. Enjoy the videos, great ideas, thanks.

Thats no good for your battery man. Don't go below 12.3 v or you will kill your battery. You need a dcdc 40 amp charger wit most and a lithium battery. Trust me . I know
