We ran away because we discovered something terrible while cleaning up on the sidewalk

Continuing with the sidewalk of more than 500 meters covered with grass and trash of a crowded neighborhood more than 50km from where I live. Today I chose a sidewalk section covered with trees that blocked the view and completely blocked the walkway at a three-way intersection. While working, a resident came to visit and thought we were measuring for some kind of project. I explained that we were volunteering to clean the sidewalk for free, then they believed me. The uncle said that the neighborhood management board was irresponsible for not cleaning the sidewalk for many years, while the people's taxes were still fully paid. Nearby, there was a hole used for electric wires or optical cables that was not covered, which was very dangerous. If someone accidentally fell in, the consequences would be unpredictable. We covered it safely even though it was very heavy and stuck. When we cleaned up the bushes that spilled onto the road, we discovered many strange objects and spiritual offerings that I had never seen before. A mannequin head hidden in a bag scared us and we ran away. After calming down, we went back to check and put it in a trash bag. At the corner of the tree nearby, people left 2 statues in a styrofoam box, blindfolded with red silk and incense sticks, along with some other objects that we did not know. I think these are the worship items of someone who had left or some kind of spiritual ritual or charm, so they brought them to the intersection to ward off bad luck. If anyone has seen them, please comment so I can know more. We put the items in the styrofoam box aside to clean up and then placed them on the inside edge of the sidewalk instead of throwing them in the trash. After a morning of work, the sidewalk was clean and I was surprised when I looked back at my achievements. It is indeed a very wide and beautiful sidewalk that many places wish to have near their homes. There is still a lot to do so that we can completely clean up this neighborhood.
As usual, we cleared the grass, sorted the inorganic waste into the trash, then dumped the grass and organic waste into the wasteland to decompose. I did not put the grass in the trash because it would be overloaded and make it difficult for the garbage collectors. We can only contribute a small part to help the community. My wish is to save enough money soon to buy more tools and machines that can help work faster, to clean more places.

How much a pair of goats cost? Years back a hispanic young man bought a couple of goats and used them to clean around his neighbourhood, he now 20 years later has a big her, about 200 goats, the cities where mountainside grass can spark fires during dry season have been hired to bring his goats and clear the grass and bushes around houses to help firefighters keep the fires away, if you could start with a couple of goats in the end you will benefit, they will help you alone while you clean the sidewalks, they can eat the inside of the green areas to keep it trim, this young man whose wife uses the milk to make soaps to sale with the extra milk they do not consume. When I was a child a cup of the fresh milk was so nutrient and delicious my siblings and I looked forward to drink before going to school.

Cause the tax payers, aren't special, nor deserving of having their taxes put to the use they were collected for.

I know that you have made several videos showing this sort of clean up work, maybe the community will be more careful where they drop their rubbish in the future - especially the plastic stuff which will be around for many years!

You guys always do a great job. I just don't understand why the sidewalks are so neglected. Most sidewalks near me are concrete but where you are they are pavers or gorgeous tiles. Keep up your volunteering ❤🎉
The city does not care about the sidewalks.
The statues in a styrofoam box may have been some kind of memorial to someone who lost their life on that part of the road....Maybe in a car / motorcycle / pedestrian accident....We get those even here in the UK...Flowers and such are placed in such places by friends and family of the deceased.
In my country, if someone dies on the street, they set up an altar and put it next to the road.
@@CleanupMowing They do that as well in my town in Oklahoma, I see some memorials along the roads, but eventually they get torn down when the city mows sometimes.
Here in Ohio there is usually flowers along with a small man made cross with a date on it or if it’s a child they will put little toy and small flower arrangement’s.
I'm so glad you were able to cover that deep hole! It would have been sad if a child or pet fell in it!😢

Look at all the streets with good asphalt, very good sidewalks, many new cars and motorcycles, good houses of neighbors who they have money to keep their streets organized, because they are not poor neighbors...But all the sidewalks on both sides of the street have a lot of grass, rats, snakes, a lot of trash thrown around and the neighbors don't care about all this mess in front of their homes, and they also contribute to more dirt, they throw a lot of trash even on the streets....
Yes, they litter a lot, even saw us working there but they still littered.

Vietnam sidewalk is very wide compared to Malaysia. Also it seems that every road in Vietnam has sidewalk not so in Malaysia. 😢

Merci. Les trottoirs qui ont été nettoyés auparavant n'ont pas repoussé et les gens semblent plus soucieux de ne pas jeter de déchets sur les trottoirs. Il n'y a que quelques endroits où ils jettent encore des briques et des pierres à proximité des trottoirs.
