In this video I will take you through the internals of the VAS5054A, the VAG group tool to work with ODIS.
I will show you the internals and my opinion of its quality.

The microcontroller is: SAF-XC161CJ-16F40F
The two K6X4016C3F memories are original and work at 5 volts. Super!
OKI M6636 is not original, replace it!
TJA1054 is not original, replace it!
After replacing them, reverse the VD7 diode because it was intentionally soldered incorrectly.
Bluetooth is a tree, nothing to do with AMB2300, of course it works, leave it.
Separate the boards where the relay is, under it is a suppressor SM6S26A, under it a little to the right I see a 7805, this stabilizer does not fit, get a new one, solder it so that the pins stay as long as possible and bend it down so that it stays with the bevel over the TLC3702C comparator so that the long pins serve for better cooling.
Flash memory, Fujitsu 29F160BE-90PFTN is slow, but it works, if I were you, I immediately throw it away and solder AMD AM29F160DB-70EF.
I really wanted to see clearly the three chips located next to the relay and the suppressor, but unfortunately your camera did not focus.
My conclusion is that if I had come across such a clone from AliExpress, I would have been lucky!
Unfortunately the clone they sent me has all the original chips but the board version is a little different and the biggest downside is that the microcontroller is SAF-XC161CS-32F20F, it's without SDLM and runs at 20MHz, that's a lot bad!
Now I have to spend a decent amount to buy an original SAF-XC161CJ-16F40F and only then my VAS 5054 A will work.
Friends, if you bought VAS 5054 A with SAF-XC161CS-32F20F or SAF-XC167CI-32F20F processor, feel free to discard them or replace the processor with SAF-XC161CS-32F20F, but it requires more than replacement...

Hi, I have what appears to be the very same vesion, but I don't think BT is working also I have issues with it connecting/disconnecting from a car and have also trouble to find any drivers, so I can try different versions. Could you please elaborate on how you know the OKI chip is fake? Could you please share link with working drivers and what would be the best version of odis-s and odis-e working reliably with exactly this 5054 clone? Thanks

works amazing good clone vas5054 tool, even as passthru for xentry techstream honda hds, forscan and nissan consult, this one needs a small modification in obd cable or a breakout box to connect pin 1 to 8. so for 50 bucks you get a tool that can handle a bit of work, and in odis is like the original one

@@ashraja6250 you just need to modify the cable if you want to use nissan consult pin 1 from vas to pin8 obd car, for xentry and the others works out of the box with vas passthru drivers (these are not the same drivers used in odis) google for vas5054 passthru drivers
The BT module on that PCB is not the good one. Thats just a OKI version

muy buen vídeo nadie muestra los componentes asta hoy en día ya los anuncian ala venta a si yo compre una vas 5054A hace como diez años y el dis que full chip la mía lo trae la estructura del vas es la original son marca softing ag las memorias iguales o mejores que las que trae la vas que esta mostrando y todo lo nuevo que son invenciones nuevas la mía tiene diez años trabajando y trae todos esos componentes y la abrí por curiosidad por que están anunciando ese full chip y la que compre hace años puedo afirmar que esta mejor que la que esta promoviendo y trabaja con odis y no la compre original era clonada por que los software eran dvd y no era originales buen vídeo y saludos desde la ciudad de mexico

i thinks its compatible j2534 pass thru , can be used on ids jlr as well , comes with drivers for it
