I watched this interview because I was very interested in finding out more about Stuart Townsend after watching him in Kolchek. But I have to say I am really impressed with the interviewer. George is actually one of the few interviewers I've seen in the past 10 years that actually asks interesting questions.
interesting history on this fine actor & now producer / director. he is so great - acting & looking - in front of the camera - hope we still see him there!
the way they let him go from lotro just before production started was kind jerky. Especially after he spent time learning sword fighting; but, I do love viggo montensen.
@@DavidBentley23 ok, I know that! It's my English...I thought that recast meant recalled... but it's not☺ And it's been the worst remarkable outcome in his career...
He looks dead I swear to god! But a great guy of course! Loved him in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he was a perfect Dorian Grey, just as I had imagined him while reading a book. He was a good Lestat as well!
In fact, as well deduced as is this observation, this casting preference was even more pertinent, because of this reason. Aragorn, as described in the book, is 87 years old and may still look young, because of its lineage, having "elven blood", so not only benefiting of a certain longevity, but a kind of lasting beauty and mysterious allure.
Could've made things awkward but yeah, there was definitely space for him elsewhere in the film. So much respect for how he's rolled with that punch though
There tends to often be a hard 'R' in the way Irish people speak English anyway, but his may be more pronounced due to the characters he plays with American accents. I guess he just subconsciously started to pick it up.
Foolish interviewer milking Northern Ireland as filler for a chat show.Unwise and a bit insulting.Gerry Adams & co have obviously been working overtime Canadian PR.
Happy Birthday Stuart Peter Townsend 41 today, your a relation of mine on your mother's side, she has the surname Hogan and that's on my mother's side as well whose grandmother married a John Hensey from Tipperary, who was at the croke park massacre in 1920, the original bloody Sunday in which the Tipperary captain Michael Hogan was shot dead along with 14 other civilians by the british in retaliation for the shooting dead that morning of 14 of their G men squad by Michael Collins I.R.A.15/12/13

Whos here after lestat even in 2020
I am! 😁😁
i am reading interview with the vampire and every time there is a part where Lestat speaks i picture steward townsend
Or tom cruise??
@@reyskywalker9338 Tom cruise sucks as lestat
He was way better in XIII(role suits him perfectly) than Stephen Dorff.
Battle in Seatle was good movie.
Great character actor very underrated
I loved Lestat de Lioncourt's roll!
Now I understand why Charlize fell in love with him , he is sooooo hot...
I just love this man. especially when he was Dorian grey and lestat.
Thanks You Peter Jackson 👍👍👍
Imagine Stuart Townsend playing Loki...
🥰🥰🥰
Keep on trying... I'm not dying so easily! - Vampyre Lestat
Stuart

Tottaly jerky
hell no it was deserved
No it wasn't lol. He reportedly refused to learn fighting choreography, to ride horses, and more. He was not a fit for Aragorn at all.
@@hrothgarnogar That was just a rumor!
I understand why Peter Jackson fired him. He really didn't fit for the role as Aragorn.
He fitted with legolas instead
He Was To Young For The Role Of Aragorn
Maybe Pete assumed the characters lore would explain the youth but then on screen, hell no. In what world is this guy pushing 80?
He's too young to play Aragorn.
that's why they recasted him as far as I know.
Well, mainly.
I think he still could've pulled it off
@@aureaestelasantos3059 He was fired and replaced by Viggo Mortensen as Aragon
@@DavidBentley23 ok, I know that! It's my English...I thought that recast meant recalled... but it's not☺ And it's been the worst remarkable outcome in his career...
@@DavidBentley23 Gee, I wouldnt call it being fired. Its not because he was bad, its because the role was not suited for him.
he was with charlize thorne 9 years
Charlize Theron, you mean?
Beautiful bedroom eyes.
He looks dead I swear to god!
But a great guy of course! Loved him in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he was a perfect Dorian Grey, just as I had imagined him while reading a book.
He was a good Lestat as well!
wonder what jonathan davis thought about him lip synching lol
Im pretty sure he was let go because they realized he was too young to play Aragorn.

his voice kind of sounds like Colin Farrel
@CJReviewz hahaha well that makes a lot of sense - thanks!
he doesn't have an Irish accent anymore
The LOTR crew should've let him stay as an extra.
Could've made things awkward but yeah, there was definitely space for him elsewhere in the film. So much respect for how he's rolled with that punch though
xro k bueno estáaaaa!!!!
In The Name of Our Father made me and I am not Irish it was a good movie. I wanna see Battle in Seattle now
What's with the Irish saying "You know". He and Michael Fassbender!
Stuart Townsend sounds like an American. It has very similar pronunciation of "R" sound and intonation. Is he trying to speak with an American accent?
There tends to often be a hard 'R' in the way Irish people speak English anyway, but his may be more pronounced due to the characters he plays with American accents. I guess he just subconsciously started to pick it up.
Where r u
True recjected
Ireland
U like movies
The movie Thor was not a big box office hit - Stuart was wise to have left that one behind.
He use to fight for a living before he was a acter.
No, it's a mistake. He used to fight box just for fun, not to living
mmmm irish men and their accents are so sexy im mostly irish lol
