Excellent Sam. Quick question: does this technique improve performance vs running three measures separately and then calculating the total? I’m very interested on performance improvement techniques because I’m dealing with very large tables.
    Thanks again. Daniel

    Hi Sam,
    Thanks for this.
Just wondering that the minimum value for the ordering factor would now be 3, correct (as it’s just a sum of three ranking categories). If that’s the case, should we not rank this factor so that it starts from 1 for aesthetic reasons?
    Thanks

Simply adding up the ranks in already created measures would also have given the same result as the one with sumx...isn't it?

Hey Sam thanks for sharing could you pls share more samples with virtual tables? In Power Query we able to use virtual table which we able to see with our own eyes just wonder whether it has the same way in Dax, look forward to hearing from you~~ Really appreciated in advance

      Hello Casper,
Thank you for posting your query onto our channel. We really appreciate you taking your valuable time to post it.
Well, firstly as you said: "In Power Query we able to use virtual table which we able to see with our own eyes" - it's incorrect. The tables which you can actually see in the Power Query are called as "Physical Tables" and not virtual tables.
Virtual tables are the tables which are created virtually i.e. has no physical presence or not visible in the data model.
We're providing few of the links of the articles from our blog posts as well as links of the videos from our Enterprise DNA TH-cam channel pertaining to this topic i.e. Virtual Tables. Also one of our expert has created a video which shows the distinction between the type of tables in Power BI.
For furthermore queries, you can also reach out to us onto our Community Forum where our members as well as experts team will be able to assist you in a better and efficient manner. Below is the link of the forum provided for the reference as well.
Hoping you find this useful. Also, make sure that you're subscribed to our TH-cam channel so that you don't miss out on any updates pertaining to the Power BI. Is there anyway we can normalize the overall ranking to start from 1, followed by 2 and so on? I've tried to divide the sum of rankings by a factor but since data is always changing I'm afraid that strategy wouldn't work in a long term. I would need an algorithm that would re-calculate the sum of rankings and normalize them automatically.
