Way too many hours! Lol Most hunts are a minimum of 4 hours and as long as 8 hours. TH-cam land doesn’t do it justice. I try to hunt at least 4 days if I can! I don’t hunt the weekends because those are reserved for my son! If you live down south on the east coast then there is no reason not to double my amount with half the time! I hunt in areas where I working for the week. Down south where I assume you are is full of clad. The locals don’t really try to dig it especially the Pennie’s. Are you thinking about getting into the hobby ?
The real payday if you were to sell the gold and silver makes it worth it! But I don’t sell any I am keeping it in my safe for my son when he get older and wants to buy a house or something. Gold will never ever go down in price just go up! He is only 6 so by the time he is ready for a house it will be worth way more than today’s prices. And if you go to sell the gold all they will give you is less than the daily melt price! You are better off selling like a ring on marketplace! They don’t take into consideration the stones as any value so might as well remove them yourself and try to sell them in bulk. Hope that kinda answer the question and more lol. I currently have over 300 grams of mixed gold for the year and around 900 grams of silver. Happy hunting. Thanks for watching! And the update after finishing all the cleaning and rolling was 550.00 then I took what was left over and put it in my son’s piggy bank about another 50.00 and I always put the foreign coins in his bank all year long so probably hit over. 700.00 in clad this year!

I have gone both ways and haven’t seen a difference. These machines are built for speed and you actually get a better TDI if you swing faster. I also run a much higher recovery speed than most. Which in turn allows me to raise the sens up way higher. My way of hunting is cover allot of ground and I believe in my machines ability to hit on the targets. I am over 300 grams of mixed gold for the year. Note that I am not always in turbo mode as towards the end of the hunts I start to gas out ! Can’t hit turbo 2000 for 6-8 hours straight at 53! Lol
To be honest with you I have 3 friends that hunt the same way I do and they are all over 200 grams of gold for the year. I will say we probably do miss a few things but not much as I tend to overlap allot because I don’t drag a scoop. It kills my shoulder and slow’s me down. The reason I say I don’t think I miss much is I have found around 10 small naked chains hunting the way I do. Those are some of the hardest to find as you are just hitting on the clasp. Normally ringing up a 2. Now if I wasn’t using the core on prospecting sound theme this wouldn’t be possible at the speed I am hunting with the coil size I am using. I noticed with the 900 its field does not extend as far with the 6” coil like the core with the 8” coil. And the core hits really fast and really hard on gold and silver targets. I pretty much know it’s a good target before I look at the tdi. The 900 still has a fast processor but the tones are muted on deeper targets. So you have to slow down with it. I also run only 1 tone on the core because it takes time for the machine and your brain to process the sound coming out of it. I tried all of the other tone programs and they were much slower on response time. I say much slower but just milliseconds . Lol Like I try to say in the videos this is the way I hunt! Might not be the right way ! But it’s my way!
