Love the rust “touch up”, also know what it’s like to work while injured, it’s hard to stay with it.

Watching TH-cam videos makes money for Puddin. So even though sitting on your ass won’t finish your project, it will help Puddin finish his project.

Of course we liked the video! We empathize with you. It almost always takes longer than you think it will to get something done. At first I seriously thought it was just me, because most other TH-cam videos make it seem like fabrication is so quick and something like what you did should only take two hours instead of five or six.
One of the things I appreciate most, is I can relate to your realness in being humble and letting us know that fab work takes time. Granted some people are way quicker because of all the experience, but some things just take time.
I would rather it take way longer and do it myself and have those memories than paying someone else. Just my .02.
    Appreciate you.

Doing a rustoration on an 84 F250. Building a wood bed and find myself in the same situation with trying to flatten out an angled mounted neck from a later model truck (mine was rusted out and too short to reach where I needed it to go). Luckily the vent tube is inside the filler tube on mine and the donor. I had planned to remove and reattach themount ring at the angle I need and now I see that it should work.

Have you tried using chemicals to create your patina instead of paint? Ive used combination murcacid toilet bowel cleaner
And wet down the new metal. It rusted up in a few days almost like the side of your travel all. I looked up the recipe on utube lol
