After watching your videos for awhile, I watched one of a lady that says Stay Away from Prints! I immediately had to come back to you. What a breath of fresh air you are, you pattern mixer you 🩷. Besides you remind me of Me! I’m an artist. I could never only wear solids 🤢👩🏻🎨
😊There's fun & funky and totally foolish😵💫. Personally, I thoroughly delight in print clash that's done well on others. Trinny Woodall's pattern clashes are unparalleled master pieces imo, but the quality of her wardrobe collection is also 💫 cream of the crop. While I don't aspire to her level of greatness, I certainly enjoy her fashion sense. Seen some bad thrift store mixes that lean heavily into hobo chic & grab bag style too. Already have a residual sense of shame held over from not being able to compete w/the "It Gurlz' pricey name brands. Wearing other people's yesteryears sad cast-offs in those days only added a layer of anxiety & stress that I didn't need😖. Buying new or expensive brands certainly doesn't guarantee style success, but at least you don't feel like a poor step child wearing hand-me-downs. As a style minimalist, one pattern can be quite intimidating on it's own for me. Two is overkill. Plus, I do hear👂all the superior & snide influencers in the back of my head railing AGAINST pattern & color〰️esp. for women as we age. It's as if they want to suck all the joy out of dressing. ❤Love my neutrals, but I also like a smattering of lights & brights. 🥰My eyes are easily infatuated w/highly feminine CottageCore patterns & even some classic prints. I've wasted a lot of money💰 not wearing these garments bcos I don't feel good in them😂. I dislike them near my face. All this to say, I bought two bold botanical print linen co-ord sets from the Gap in the 90s. It consisted of a LS button up & a straight classic trouser. They both leaned 🍂Autumnal in color scheme. One had big orange roses & army green leaves, the other white roses & army green leaves. For the first time in a traditional tailored button up, I felt absolutely feminine & fabulous. The reactions were extreme😵. Took a lot of flack. "Are you a modern Scarlet O'Hara wearing curtains?" Or worse, you look like a "walking couch". That decade was my best. I dressed to please myself. Took risk〰️& didn't care if others approved. Don't want to blend in to the point of blandness. Nor do I wish to be frumpy or freakish either. 👩🎨 Diana's originality, playfulness, & encouragement is helping to restore my spirit & re-engage my creativity. Her positivity, experimentation, & risk-taking is quite liberating. Albeit a bit beyond my comfort level in some cases. I’m not an overall person either but you looked so cool in them with the buttoned up blouse. The shoes worked with it too! Sneakers could have been cute too!!
Sorry for my eanglish,I would wear polka dots jumpsuit with white blazer and white sneakers maybe boring but I would enjoy it,and than that birds scarf or something

Funny that you think the polka dot outfit with the blazer is weird… I love it. The one I think is weird is the plaid pants with that jacket … I didn’t get that one at all. I guess we can’t always agree. But I do agree about your confidence… with it you can pull off almost any look.

Storytime: I never had trendy clothes growing up but somehow I got ahold of one pair of hammer pants from someone who didn't want them anymore. I wanted to wear them constantly but I didn't want anyone to think they were the only pants I had so I wore them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at school, then all weekend. Come to think of it, I don't know when they ever got washed. Probably Tuesdays.
