I've been playing this game for so long, since it came out in 03/04, and it means so much to me-but, always choosing for Zelos to live in each playthrough, I've never seen this scene. it is a beautiful moment. thank you for uploading it.
@Mariokemon Kratos isn't really hard to get close to you if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of opportunities to up his affection early on, particularly bringing him along to fight Kvar, and the tutorials he gives Lloyd at certain points. Even when he's not in your party there are ways to up it. There's a skit with him in the overworld near Flanoir, and there's your encounters with him on his Aionis quest, and deciding to trust him when looking up C.A.C.I.
@Mariokemon The Aionis sidequest. There will be several instances in Tethealla were Kratos will pop up asking an NPC for either Aionis or Sacred Wood (the materials needed for Origin's Pact Ring). I think there are three occasions. You can choose to look into what Kratos is doing or ignore him. If you are curious, Kratos will get a boost. If you ignore, then Kratos will be hurt and Zelos will get a boost. You can't see the third if you ignore the second.
@DracoFlame67 Incidentally, the Aionis sidequest has an opportunity to boost Zelos' affection. If you decide to ignore Kratos at any point, Zelos will receive a boost while Kratos will be hurt.
