Really enjoyed that, thank you for posting. I spent so much of my childhood on the Gower as we had a static caravan in Knelston. Not sure I always appreciated how lucky I was. I need to take my children there to see it too. I remember when that ferry ran aground in Port Eynon, The Ivanhoe I think it was called.
colin gronow I remember it just sat there for what seemed ages. We were there the following week. I'm not sure if it was ever salvaged or it just broke up.

Tony Ska thanks for your comments Tony. The ferry was the prince Ivanhoe she ran aground at Horton in 1981
