Oh my Marie-Ève, I love how you can laugh at the steaming incident. The way you talk about your experience. Glad nothing worse happened. I love the wool socks. Stay safe.
Thanks for sharing. I was very curious to see the process. I think both socks, despite the melting plastic accident, look quite pretty. you could also do some embroidery around the colors to try to mimic flower shape. i'll be interesterd to see how they look when you over dye.
It’s funny but I prefer the dyed wool socks…then colours are softer and more muted. But it’s all about personal preferences and what you expected to achieve. Thanks for sharing….worth giving it another try for sure.
Knowing nothing about eco printing, I would have been surprised if the results were recognizable flower shapes. I have done pressed flower drying and it takes precise laying out to get good shapes. Still, it was interesting and the colourful spots are pretty. I liked the wool socks too. Good luck on your next attempt
Have you watched Barefoot Dyer’s YT channel? She has tutorials on eco printing and bundle dyeing. I’m wondering if what you did is bundle dyeing? She mentions bundle dyeing has a watercolour effect on the fabric and eco printing is when you see the whole flower. I think your socks are still very pretty.

Ohh that’s a great idea! I’ll keep it in mind! Thanks 😊
Thanks for sharing your experience. Better luck next time! I think your hand knit ones are cute even though they didn't turn out as you had hoped.
Thank you 😊

It does have a certain charm! ☺️
I actually thought they were both very pretty...id wear them😊❤
Pink would be nice, a pale green would also be nice. I used mint tea and that was lovely. Good luck with them. They do look good.
Ohh thats a great idea! I may try that! 😀
Thanks for your honesty, you live and learn 😂. The socks are pretty anyway.
Thanks 😂

Thanks :) and yeah I think also that with fresh flowers the effect would be better! Hopefully I can try it someday!

Thanks :) and yes I’ve seen her videos! She’s one of the people I recommended to check out in the description box 😀
I watch on my television so I don’t see a description box. Take care.
Its safer to get second hand hand-knitted piece and experiment on it, rather than on your own.
