You notice anything? Everybody wasn’t on their phones, ignoring the world. 😂 These were good days and Larry Himmel’s shows were something I looked forward to. RIP, Larry. Thank you.
Larry Himmel was a great funny talented guy and weatherman and was a chicago guy that lived like a san diegan and I met him 3 or 4 times interviewed by him at a chargers game like Rod Luck another rip and his buddy was Loren Nancarrow rip and Michael Tuck Mitch Duncan jesse Macias Allison Ross etc
We Europeans did call this American Dream while we didn't know we were living the European dream. Now those dreams are sadly over for both. But for what reason actually?
I wish they'd make a dvd of these, id buy it! Along with Ken Cramers about San Diego
Larry stated later he thought there was a demand for copies of the show but there would be so much legal mumbo-jumbo to do.
i moved to San Diego in 1984.....thank you for the blast to the past!
Damm we all looked way happier back then ....
And healthier.
And accomplished more, more pride with work as well. I love these flash backs, I wish I was born then
Because you were.
thank you for this, this brought me back in time in a real way
Very good 1985 San Diego at Large throwback classic!!
Ok, I’m not from San Diego and in 1985, I was only 5 and didn’t watch any news back then, but this is really entertaining! I like these! Great job!
Biff & Skippy, the best local comedy show at the time.
The eggery!! Smokes for 75cents! Loved that place... I lived upstairs in the Danforth building
Larry was like Jimmy Buffett in the San Diego area. He was so wonderful and he spoke to my heart.
I knew chocher. Family friend. My family was rose growers too. Boy did this bring back memories. I was 5 when this was produced.
This show is where the term " Is there life east of I-5?" comes from. Still use it occasionally today but no one knows what I'm talking about.
Wow, what an amazing intro!
I was starting into my teen years and living in San Diego when this show was on... I loved this unique show and remember it well.
I remember that Mexican chicken place. It was pre-Pollo Loco and was the real deal. The Mexican style coleslaw was also really good.
Post more. Post them all.
I think Cookie Chainsaw Randolph was on this show also?

Loved SD @ Large growing up as a kid, I'm 15 during this episode here. Couldn't miss a single episode, especially Biff & Skippy. RIP Larry

I love Larry !! From Boston but lived in San Diego from 97 to 2000. But ironically didn't discover Larry until recently. What a nice guy
The woman from yupdates is great!
7:19 I thought it was Steve Irwin.

I wish there was more on biblical burger, google and bing just kick back current results.
I have interacted with this video
I always enjoyed Larry Himmel and Ray Wilson. Harold Keen not so much.
"The latest issue of Canoe, in case you have a little - dinghy"... This whole show is dingy! 🤪👍 When politically correct didn't even exist!
