    Fuck, I didn't know you could cheese the final fight like that, oh well...
    I can't even be mad about you using that strat, it was very clever :p

      Hah, that makes me even more happy to have found it! :D Being able to use the invuln on the first fight instead of the final one made a huge difference. Great map, well made!

    Turning the invuln visuals to a purple glow is so nice. Now it's not blinding when watching on mobile

    Cheese is valid, even taking out that one baron the "legitimate" way looked ridiculously awkward. Anything to keep the streak alive!
    Also that purple invuln shader looks amazing, shame it was so short-lived.

    Oof! Wish I’d known about that teleporter around the back from the secret waaaah. There’s also a switch teleporter inside the end pyramid(?). I think it’s a purple skull? You panned past it a few times at the end.. I didn’t even see it until I was editing my video, doh. Or maybe if not a tele switch, it lets you escape the uwu fight in some way. I think if you get the invuln, get into the last fight and get inside the pyramid you can cheese bad guys that way too. Bravo, I say! Quite a beastly map but great fun. :)

      You're right, I forgot to mention the last teleporter! Now that you mention it, that's a great idea - clearing most of the fight during the invuln, then teleporting back to the start right when it runs out. Hadn't thought of that at all!

    Not sure if 808 in the map’s name is a reference to this or not, but 808 is the area code for the Hawaiian Islands and Wake Island.

    In execution this was a very Darkwave-ish map, I feel. Not the looks or the music, clearly, but the fight structuring in general, especially the ability to just leave. lmao
    I'm not sure how I feel about how much this map depends on that one secret to be playable. On one hand it's a secret with tactical value and the 10-damage black void (could've easily been 20 for real pain) even compels you to visit it... on the other hand it's almost a mandatory secret, which ain't cool.
    Now, I'm all for admitting this is a personal grievance, but I wish wad creators were more creative than to keep imitating the "squishy recolored cyberdemon" from 7+ years ago. Let big tough goat be big _tough_ goat and use a more original Realm667 monster sprite set. There's the good old Cybruiser, the Cyberbaron (that fits even better since these "Tyrants" have Baron health), and so many nice options! Gou could even have them keep the Cyberdemon movement speed, that's not a problem, just be a bit more original because recoloured Cybies are a tired played out trope.

      I get what you mean as a LOT of maps use the coloured cyberdemon, but I do think it's one of the best ways to offer a big (also physically) threat that does a ton of damage if you're not careful. You're right that other custom enemies are very dangerous as well, but the sheer size of Tyrants does make them a tad scarier in my opinion. And I'm just glad I don't have to SSG/plasma regular cyberdemons after a big fight x) But yeah, it would still be cool to see more usage of things like the Cybruiser etc, that's for sure.

      @@Vytaan Yeah. His size is a good signpost for sure. I just wish he was more original than "Cybie with a paint job".
      Also I don't think I worded something well enough: the Cybruiser and the Cyberbaron are two different creatures with different sprite sets. The Cyberbaron is clearly a Baron, pink skin and all, with some mechanical bits attached. He shows up in Lost Civilization 2, for reference.
      Only putting this as a P.S. because I'm probably known as the one guy that doesn't zip his gabber about Cybruisers on this channel and people may be tired of listening to my ramblings 😅
