Great Video A-a-ron. lets see how it bounces back! I watched your other video from 2 years ago and it seems like it doesn't mind such a hard prune. Thanks for showing us how you do it right! Great channel and great content as usual!
I’d love to see how well those cuttings work out. Do you have a shredder for those limbs? I bet they’d make some wonderful mulch for your fruit trees. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed fam! -Calvin
Calvin! We are trying our best to root these cuttings. I am also going to air layer a few this season and see which techniques work best with our tree this year. I'll keep you updated on that!
Moringa drumstick is my favorite vegetable dish. It’s a little messy since you have to work for the drumstick flesh and pods. It’s mixed with cubed Asian sweet potatoes.
Moringa leaves we add to chicken and chayote soup dish called Tinola. I wish it would survive without maintenance in my area, I was able to grow it in pots for a bit.
I wish I could get a moringa to survive a winter unprotected, 9a, that I could allow to get large. I have one right nect to the house that survives, but I have to keep it small.
It may work and grow well in a very sunny and warm spot on your property during the winter sun exposure, if that makes any sense? On our property we have different sunny spots in the winter than we do in the summer depending on the low sun angle.
@AmzBackyardOrchardandVineyard I've tried too many times to mention and they perish unprotected without a microclimate. I don't what it is with 9a, but we are on the cusp of growing all the cool stuff that you can.

We actually just posted a video over the weekend making Moringa mulch! It's absolutely 100% the best mulch we use.

I want to try that this season. I'll try young pods and then the mature drumsticks.

We will try that recipe too! I usually just strip the leaves off and sprinkle it into my fresh salad.
The fresh leaves and branches that will be sprouting up remind me of fiddle heads of ferns. Very tender and my opinion Sweet!

They can be pruned any way you want. We choose to have a larger tree for Permaculture reasons.

If these cuttings root this season and survive our winter, I'll give you one and see if our red variety can survive outdoors in 9a.
@@AmzBackyardOrchardandVineyard Awesome. I'll be on the lookout.
The cuttings root easily, even the fat ones!
Good to know! So far so good.
I'm also going to attempt Air Layering this season.
