I love this elevator.
It must be one of those rare '60s installs with a gate on a hydraulic elevator, but it's still an unique find for the Chicagoland area!
yeah. Most elevators from then had solid doors. This is like a LULA from the 60s.
I would love to see this someday since I’m not too far away from here

A Scissor Gate on a Post-WWII Small Elevator is an oddity.
I know right? It is cool though!
@@DieselDucy First time it came across a Scissor Gate on an elevator was at the Sather Bell Tower on the UC Berkeley campus. Somebody took me up there when I was a kid, unfortunately that elevator has since been replaced.
