One of my favourite roads in South of Australia is the Barrier Highway, a long mostly straight road through the outback that brings rich rewards as you get your eye in over the distance.

I hope that border checkpoints never return again up here. That was an awful experience having the best riding roads closed for such a long time. .
Those closed borders were awful, it took a great deal of effort, time and money to visit family while also maintaining my relationships at home. I don't miss closed borders at all. The towns out there are amazing. No real industry, not much through-traffic, incredible space and place. I'm desperate to stay at one and watch the sun set and rise on that vast landscape and sparse township, I think it would be amazing. Cheers!

Thanks, I'd have loved to get some drone footage on this video but there was no time. You would have ridden into a great deal of them on your lap around Australia.

Thanks mate, it's a unique road - good quality surface and reasonably accessible from Adelaide. It's a road that makes you earn it, but one of my favourite things about riding roads like this is that it's so isolated and meditative that the little things become big things, very vivid. Send me a message if you're going to ride it, I'll send you a few tips and things to look out for.

Heheh, that helmet has a "flip down sunglasses visor" but I do like to indulge in full HD sunlight at times when riding!
