SUPERFICIAL RADIAL NERVE Block - a "How-To" Guide (for Motor-Sparing Wrist Blocks)

  • Motor-sparing wrist blocks are useful for minor hand surgery, or where intraoperative testing of finger movement is desired by the surgeon. The SUPERFICIAL RADIAL NERVE innervates the dorsum of the hand and fingers, and can be easily located at the wrist using the key landmarks of (1) radial artery and (2) brachioradialis muscle.
    It should be combined with a LATERAL ANTEBRACHIAL CUTANEOUS nerve block for complete coverage of the region around the base of the thumb (see LACN block video in the series - • LATERAL ANTEBRACHIAL C... ).

      Have you recovered from it because i am having suferfecial nerve damage
