Hi Ghib Ojisan, it's not easy being a TH-camr, especially in Singapore. Most just like to show off plus glamourized how fabulous and luxurious their lifestyle is or bitching and spreading negativity. * Yawn *
But you are very easy going and down to earth, and your contents are refreshing and depict the reality of life in Singapore accurately. Thank you for highlighting to the rest, we don't wear Gucci from head to toe or have a 1 million dollars office.
Glad you were recognized for your work by TODAY Online as well as many who subscribe to your channel. Have a bless and wonderful 2020! :)

    Hi Ojisan
If you wanna travel around Singapore in a loop, I would recommend taking a combination of buses and trains so that you can see the scenery all around.
    Here's what I would suggest!
Take bus 161 from Sengkang Interchange to Woodlands Interchange. It's an express service and takes about 45-60 min. Along the way you will see the northern parts of Singapore.
From Woodlands, take the train on the North South line towards Jurong East. As the tracks are above ground you will see Singapore's western housing estates along the way.
From Jurong East Interchange, take bus 97e which will take you through the western and southern parts of Singapore. The bus ends at Pan Pacific Hotel in the Marina Square area.
From there, you can walk to Promenade station and take the Circle Line to Mountbatten station exit B. Then take bus 401, and drop off anywhere along East Coast Park Service Road. You can explore East Coast from there.
Take the same bus 401 to back to Bedok Interchange, then take the east-west line train from Bedok to Pasir Ris.
From Pasir Ris station, a 5 min walk brings you to a bus stop to take 109. You can take this all the way to Changi Village, which is a nice chill area at the east end of Singapore. The same bus 109 will bring you back to Sengkang in the opposite direction.
    Hope this helps!

The PMD at 10:05 is legal in Singapore only on Park Connectors (PCN). I'm guessing that the road that you were walking on is likely a PCN as there are yellow stripes on it. Speed limit is 25km/h and PMD must be UL2272 certified.

Yes. Humans tend to normalise things very quickly and take their surroundings for granted. Only after being away for some time can you see what's all around you with new eyes. Sometimes it's good to make the effort to "see" things as an outsider would, and recognize the uniqueness of your surroundings/culture etc...

Haha I’ve brought a group of 6 Japanese acquaintances to that particular laksa store 10 years ago! It was a rare sight haha. The place hasn’t changed much and the laksa still tastes the same. Just wanna comment that you’re definitely not the first (Nor the last) Japanese who has eaten there! Glad you enjoyed your second visit to Yishun!
The Khoo Teck Puat hospital (KTPH) that you thought was a condo is actually Super nice inside. If you ever find yourself in Yishun for some reason again in the future, I recommend you take a look at the hospital’s architecture. They brought a garden/ forest into a hospital, further perpetuating our Garden City motto. I appreciate efforts made to beautify Singapore on the whole. It will be utterly devastating to erect ugly buildings on our land constraint country.
What’s interesting is many residents living in Yishun would go to the hospital not to see the doctor but to purely eat or study! Singaporeans really make it a point to find new places to eat and hang out, haha. I do believe many foreigners would find it weird to specially make a trip to the hospital to hang out. Probably because we are tiny, every little nugget of space is treasured.

Go to the Khatib Central area, there's "Big Bitez" at the Broadway at 848 Yishun Street 81 for great cheesy chicken chop, and also a Duck Rice place (always has a queue). 848 is "U" shaped, the Big Bitez and Broadway is on the left "arm" of the U, the duck rice at the bottom part (facing 846). :)

I think you can do a video on how to order/customize chicken rice and coffee/tea at hawker centers!
Chicken rice is made from cooking chickens whole, then the chicken is chopped up and served. So you can order breast meat(ささみ), or thigh(もも) / wing (手羽先)for extra S$0.50-$1.00, or chicken neck(せせり), feet, liver etc...
    And kopi/teh, there is
    Kopi O
    kopi O kosong
    Kopi O sieu tai
    Etc
Please teach them MILO PENG KOSONG GAO (iced milo, thick on the milo powder, no sugar no condensed milk) this is my faveeeee

Yes I agree, Khoo Teck Phuat is a relatively neat hospital with lots of greenery, that’s what I like a lot. It’s something nice to look at when you’re at the hospital.

yeah, definitely don't worry about the haters. they literally can't take a joke probably. you're doing great!
My grandparents live in Yishun and it's nice to see so many familiar locations.

You should try Chuan Kee Braised Duck Rice at Chong Pang Market in Yishun, they're closed on Mondays and it's really good! (It's at the place next to the wet market you walked past in the last video)

Yay another video on Yishun ☺️ you should try the chicken rice at block 744 S11 coffee shop too (the one you went on your first video). And the popiah/dessert stall beside the laksa.

Visit Upper Thomson Road, not far away from Yishun. There is a nature park "Thomson Nature Park" opened lately with some Chinese history and reservoirs Upper and Lower Pierce You can visit Casuarina Curry - a famous Indian cuisine Prata House nearby after your walks or slightly further up, you can try some good food (Meng kitchen Fishball Noodles, Rochor Beancurd, Beach Road Scissors Cut Curry) n coffee (Yahava Coffee) at Upper Thomson Road with more food stalls and cafes by the road. Have a good time exploring!

If you get lucky, you can actually see otters in the pond next to the hospital. I've seen them twice. And I've seen big monitor lizards at the pond too. If you have time you can walk around the pond, the other side is pretty nice too.
There is a nice restaurant called Real Food by that pond next to the hospital. It's a vegetarian restaurant and the food's not bad. And you can get a nice view of Yishun Pond if you dine there. You can also just get a cup of coffee and chill by the windows. It's nice. I like the Portabello Mushroom burger there.
Also near the other end of Orto Park. There is a kampung where people do a bit of farming. There are also facilities for trampoline jumping and paint ball in that area.
If you have time, you can also go to Lower Seletar Reservoir Park. You can actually see that park if you ride the MRT into Yishun from Yio Chu Kang. That's a really nice park that has connections to the Springleaf Park Connector via an underpass. That Park Connector is very nice too as it runs by the river.
Also, you can check out Yishun Dam. That will connect you to the Rowers Bay Park which is also very, very nice.
If you cycle, you can cycle all the way to Punggol or Jalan Kayu from the Rowers Bay Park. Jalan Kayu has some pretty good prata and prawn noodles but you won't be in Yishun anymore if you go there. :)
If you like Yong Tau Fu, there is a pretty popular and cheap stall just across from the Laksa stall you ate at. The dessert stall next to the Laksa stall is pretty popular too.
Back to the hospital. If you have time you should take a walk into the basement. There are small man made streams and a small water fall, it's very nice to chill there if you need to go to the hospital.
Thanks for coming to Yishun again. I hope you'll return again. :)

I enjoyed this video too, it's nice seeing Singapore from a different perspective for those who've lived here all their lives! If you ever get the chance to visit Toa Payoh and you eat beef, there's a really good beef noodle store there, normally open only in the mornings to lunch because they sell out. Lor 7, it's called Hai Nan Xing Zhou Beef Noodles!
