    We were just walking down the street one day, my husband and I, chatting about whatever. Suddenly he turns to me and smiles and says "I like you." and I dunno why, maybe it was the way he said it, maybe I was just in a sentimental mood, but it struck me as the sweetest, most touching thing he could have ever possibly said to me.
    Don't get me wrong, we tell each other we love each other very regularly, but I guess in that moment I suddenly realized that he didn't just love me as his wife, but liked me as a person.
    I guess it's weird, and hard to grasp what the difference means, but I think our marriage works so well because we don't just love each other, but we like each other too.

      The sweetest moments are those simple kindnesses that come out of the blue, all of the big moments will bring a smile but it's those small things that bring tears to the eyes. There is a very real difference between liking someone and loving them, and both are equally amazing in their own way

    Wheezy is one of the best TH-camrs out there. He’s not trying to entertain you with flamboyant videos that cost thousands of dollars to make, he’s not constantly throwing merch at you, he’s not making videos about all the stuff he has that most can’t afford, he’s not feeding you mindless crap about product reviews or other TH-cam channels, etc. Just wholesome genuine videos about how he be and stay and good human. I respect that very much.

    As an outside observer, something that I think helps is that despite being known as a goofy comedy guy, when they talk he lets her be the funny one just as much. I've seen a lot of "funny guys" really stifle the other person with their constant jokes. Being able to make each other laugh is SO GOOD for a healthy relationship.

    At the end of my first disaster of a marriage my wife and I had the opportunity to talk to a marriage counselor and he told us something that we ignored at the time that actually made the most sense in hindsight. "You can never be in a truly healthy relationship if you are not in a healthy place yourself." In other words, if you have personal things you have not dealt with yourself, those things will get in the way of a good relationship.
    What I have seen of you and your wife, you do have interests in common, which is helpful, but you two seem to be in a good place by yourselves. You do not have individual burdening issues that you have to deal with. Small things sure, but they are not an issue with you guys.
    Self-confidence, self-worth, mistrust of others, the list could go on and on with issues that get in the way of healthy relationships. Your relationship is working because you guys have your shit together, basically.

    • @VioletEmerald
      @VioletEmerald 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah exactly, i think almost any relationship can work if BOTH people - key word BOTH - are emotionally healthy enough, but if one person is not healthy enough to handle basic life stuff and basic relationship stuff and doesn't have a secure attachment style, let alone both of them struggle with it, the relationship is not likely to work out. And SO many seemingly emotionally healthy adults really aren't. It seems like there are way more traumatized and unhealed people out there than healthy ones, especially when it comes to people who aren't already in healthy monogamous dating or marriage relationships and are still available to date you at ages 30 to 35.... It's all just a mess trying to find a relationship that works and is goals like this.

    My husband and I have been together since we were 16 &17, married in our mid20s , we are now in our mid40s. One thing I think helps keep a relationship healthy is giving each other grace & space , especially if things are not going smoothly.

Sadly many thing are not discovered until it's too late. Being able to sit down and dig into what is working and not is very valuable. Thanks for a great video.

Your relationship on screen was and has been the foundation of my idea about how a relationship should be, and for that I can never thank you guys enough. I’m now happily engaged, and I don’t think I would know how to maintain such a strong relationship without yours and Chyna’s positive influence when I was growing up. Keep on doing your thing, because you and your family make the most genuinely inspiring content I follow online.

I've been very single and very happy being single for the past 4 years. But/and watching this video, makes me so happy for you guys. And terrified for me. I'm not sure I can ever find anyone with whom I can have such a relationship. I'm terrified of trusting anyone else, ever again.

    Yup. Fundamentally, it takes two people wanting to make it work. One person can't 200% a two person relationship. Sad thing too is that while one person could be repeatedly trying to make things work in vain, while the other person's actively shopping around. It's a sad world, but if you guys can be honest and keep the love burning steadily, you'll do more than fine. To love and near immortality. Cheers.
