His interviews are best because he asks more down to earth questions rather than the repetitive ones of asking about the same song and it’s meanings. His interviews sound like casual conversations

Alecin Solidarity Pretty good. Some plan had a set back.
I don't get much out of the death metal genre unless there's some progressive or otherwise different aspect to the music. But i really like this dude. He doesn't take himself too seriously. As compared to black metal musicians, death metal guys just seem more normal and likeable.
haha amen.. i can vouch 4 the dudes in Obituary, Cannibal corpse + Suffocation.. all super nice, even to 17 year olds who barge back stage lol. + yeah the BM scene - not the most likeable folks.
Almost all of the old guard in the BM scene grew up & got over taking themselves seriously. I met Ihsahn once, total chill & intelligent dude.
@@JanderVK many of the more mainstream black metal bands are very chilled out. Although black metal tries to hold a mystique about it. Black metal is far from normal and that's the way we like it.
But this dude does seem nice and he is bang on about the pc brigade crap.

i was lucky enough to hang out with these guys on their bus a few weeks ago and I can say that they are, by far, the most grounded and down to earth professional musicians I have ever met!!!!!!

Cool interview. Trevor is a nice guy. I talked to him, Allen West and Frank Watkins after a show on the Back From The Dead tour. They were all cool. Trevor answered my questions about that guitar tone and his setup, which he probably gets asked about a million times, but he was nothing but nice. John Tardy had the biggest fucking pizza I've ever seen. He came out of the club and bolted straight for the bus with that pie.

People used to think you had to play faster to be a successful death metal band, playing slow and consistently in time with feel and groove, is way more difficult than some think.
Love obituary since 1990 , deicide and obituary, two massively influential and overlooked legendary bands.

I'm a gonna post this on as many TP interviews as I can find. Here we go! Trevor Peres is the Malcolm Young of Death Metal, nay metal full stop. Have you ever gotten close enough to them live to watch his right hand? I saw them in 1991 touring Cause of Death in a tiny club and again on the End Complete tour and a pair of decades later in Germany. I couldn't understand why all the attention went on the drummer and whoever was playing lead at the time. It's like watching a bunch of cyclists powering a reactor and quietly humming away in the most unassuming way is the human reactor, the driving force behind it all standing stage right, chugging away. The dude is a force of nature, steady as an atomic clock; precise, consistent, immutable, unstoppable. Please, lads, let's start recognising the man for what he is: hands down, the best metal rhythm player ever.
