Ren is next level confident and it really shows. Years of playing live on the streets has given him the ability to play with his vocals and give us layer after layer in texture and emotion. Being self taught on guitar means he can’t break any rules in his playing. He knows no rules and that gives him the freedom to do what he likes. What we like. Thanks, George, for a great reaction.
Such a powerful reaction - I never thought about it but it is so true - no one could do a cover of his music simply because the emotion in his voice is so spontaneous and so unique that a Ren cover would be impossible. Love your insights - subbed.
I agree, I love Ren's accents in his songs. It contributes to the unique voice, it makes words "stick" better in my brain, makes it more memorable and even adds replay value. The past few months he's become my favourite artist too.
This song by Ren gave me Sting vibes when he performed “Message In A Bottle” acoustic version-live. Back in the 80’s. Ren is still undergoing treatments in Canada, so this at his high rise apartment in downtown Calgary, Alberta. Renegades in Northern Cree Nation…Ah, hoo!
The view from this apartment over the nightly city reminds me on some of those dystopic 80´s movies. As beautiful as it is, it feels cold and not made for humans. Ren, seemingly alone up there and pooring his heart out, looks lonely and detached to me. Song hits even harder. Cheers from Europe.
Ren has been receiving medical treatment in Canada for over s year now for long term severe autoimmune conditions He looks out at the city when he sings I've been lost for a while His life friends and family are an ocean away He's waiting to get better health wise
Hi there, ah ok gotcha. It's a bit sad that he's away form home but hopefully he can get the treatment he needs and continue his recovery, very touching song filled with genuine emotion in his voice.
Great reaction! I really liked your comments at the end of the song. Red Hot Chili Peps is one of his influences. He has many influences. Different people pick up on different ones. I hear Jeff Buckley. Ren never plays, sings or raps the same song the same way.

Hi Dunny, very nicely put, couldn't have said it better myself!
This is filed at his apartment in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - where he is currently, undergoing treatment.
Very cool apartment, hope he recovers soon, or at least feels healthier!
My favorite Ren track. It's only been out a day and a half, but I'm already calling it a masterpiece.
It's just so different, but same here. I could tell just by the first listen that it was something special.
Ren reinterpeted 5 Fred Again tracks grom EDM dance mysic to this. Pure soul of Ren.
Ah ok, thanks for letting me know!
Fred Again is British dj producer. This is mash up of 5 of his tracks ❤
Hi Kathleen, thanks for letting me know, hadn't heard of him.

Will have to check out his 'Message in a Bottle' great song!
There is a wonderful version here on TH-cam of Ren playing Sting's 'Englishman in New York' with The Big Push, filmed in Brighton.

Hmm, I can see what you're saying, sort of a cyberpunk synthwave atmosphere...

Hi there, glad you enjoyed! I can definitely see Jeff Buckley now that you mentioned it.
Ren has said in interviews that one of the guitarists that inspired him is John Frusciante. He also mentions him in his song 'Power'.
This is such an incredible performance! Love it. And big ups to Josh for filming it. Great reaction ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed! Not sure who Josh is but he did an awesome job.
Ren, was in Calgary, in Canada.
Ah okay, would like to visit Canada someday myself.
It’s pure talent.
Exactly! Stay tuned for more...
If you are confused read his description
Yup, people already cleared up the confusion, thanks.
Love it❤❤
Right on!
Perfection
Indeed!
Bro ya gotta do one google search to not be so confused as to what is going on with the “Fred Again” mashup title. Great reaction nevertheless
Thanks for your support! Sometimes I like to stay in the darkness
