Love the guy, but he'll always be Alex 'They Race Me So Hard' Albon. He's been untested for a while now, which has helped him shine in a car that isn't competitive. The last season he faced any real pressure was during his off year in DTM with Lawson, where he was beaten by 97 points. You can see why RedBull were keen to let him go to Williams after that, because Liam was their new reserve driver. The fact is, Albon just doesn't do well under pressure. Driving a car that nobody expects great results from alleviated a lot of the pressure for him, because now he just had to bring it home and MAYBE score a point. Then his teammates at Williams, title deciding drivers in their ability to bring out flags, weren't competitive enough to apply that pressure. So, things looked good. He had no pressure due to an objectively poor car, and no pressure due to poor teammates. Colapinto then showed up and immediately the pressure is back on him. Now he's pushing harder and making mistakes because of it. His radio call in Singapore was just the return of Alex 'They Race Me So Hard' Albon, and I think Williams would be wise to keep Colapinto around next season as the pressure builds with the arrival of Sainz.

so many people in the comments saying Alex has had a couple of bad races and you’re taking it out of context so you can’t judge him as a driver based on that but don’t y’all get that’s how the sport works?!? with the pool of talent available you don’t get do-overs. these are supposed to be the 20 best drivers in the world and should be held to a very high performance standard imo. think about how the team principals and upper management are looking at Alex and Franco’s performances in comparison to each other with their different experience levels and try to understand why Alex’s seat could be in danger. I like Alex as a person off the track but I don’t think he’s quite good enough, if he can make it to 2026 maybe the new reg cars will suit him better but I’ve personally never thought his driving was anything special. I’m hoping that Franco stays as William’s reserve for next year and if Alex ends up being clapped by Carlos then put Franco in and let him keep the seat through 2026. it’s all just a waiting game atp to see what happens next performance wise for Alex and contract wise for Franco.

Alex is the #1 driver this year and as much as Franco has rocked half the grid with his performances Alex has years of experience in the sport. I do feel, however, that if Albon keeps overperforming and taking higher risks than necessary to assert his position and his seat, he's gonna screw himself up.

El es el líder en el equipo en este momento y estoy seguro que colapinto está aprendiendo mucho de el también por eso no tiene que dejar se llevar por la presión. Don't think Albon's terrible. Pretty decent. Not Verstappen-level material. As for Perez, he's probably driving the RB on the level it's really at. And about Franco what I meant was that he is building up , we do not know if he is going to race next year or if he will be at Williams as a reserve driver. But what we know is that he did not have as much possibilities as other drivers to even participate in races and if he did it was not in top teams. That is why he has not only support from his fans but also some few big companies that will back up him.
