As someone who won a BT9 pre-release tournament with AncientGreymon, I would not recommend this build. The Level 4 and 6 lineup is fine, but too heavy on Level 3s. BT7 Flamemon without Takuya isn't very useful. You need at least 2 BT5 Alterous Mode to get over DeathXMon in security in this format. It does the same thing as Lightning Joust while helping with draw. I like Bokomon over Analog Youth, but Analog Youth does help with the promo Agunimon play. Personal preference there. Putting all that aside, the deck has been power-crept in BT9. It's too slow for MetalGarurumonX and can't even pierce him because of battle protection. MagnamonX completely shuts down the OTK, and then expect Mega Death on the next turn. Alphamon and WarGreymonX are races to build the stack that you'll probably lose. You can still beat security control, and that's where this deck shines, but you'd better come with extra checks and 16K DP.
I always like your deck ideas but this deck version has several weaknesses in the BT9 format... First weakness: 14k DP is nothing with all these DeathXmon, Alphamon: Ouryuken, Omnimon [BT5] and more around. Second weakness: What about Blocker? Without Piercing, you can be stopped too easy. And even then, Blocker + Retaliation by DexDORUgamon's skill which can be played in decks around Ouryuken, Dexmons and Trash Evolutions (GranDracmon) can stop it without doing anything. High-Speed Plug-in D helps with this because AncientGreymon (and the following Omnimon [BT5]) will be unblockable with Jamming without the need of MetalGreymon: Alterous Mode [BT5] or Hiro Amanokawa [BT8] for a DP boost. Third weakness: Cards like Omnimon X-Anti-body with a Greymon Base, Magnamon X or Machinedramon [EX1], which can neutralise Piercing or the sec checks. Fourth "weakness": No Plan B after Plan A failed! The Takuya Kanbara + EmperorGreymon package as an alternative for a missed Omnimon [BT5] can help multiple ways to finish the game. And Takuya Kanbara + BurningGreymon [BT7] helps with Memory Blocker, too. Especially with 4x Red Memory Boost! Someone at my locals mains AncientGreymon since BT7 and his list looks like this: 4x DemiMeramon [BT6] 4x Flamemon [BT4] 3x Flamemon [BT6] 3x Flamemon [BT7] 2x Bokomon 4x BurningGreymon [BT7] 4x Agunimon [P] 4x Aldamon [BT7] 4x AncientGreymon [BT4] 2x EmperorGreymon 2x Omnimon [BT5] 3x Tai Kamiya [BT1] 2x Takuya Kanbara 2x Analog Youth 1x A Delicate Plan (
Its not useless. It just better to focus on consistency with AncientGreymon and the OTK combo. I did make a pure EmperorGreymon video on the channel before, so definitely check that out as well!
Just play a Greymon Base with Omnimon X-Anti-body and your opponent lose because you can stop AncientGreymon's attacks while cards like Greymon X or MetalGreymon: Alterous Mode make removals a joke. You can counter AncientGreymon with Magnamon X, too. Or let it die to a 14k+ DP Digimon in your Sec Pile. Alphamon [BT6], Chikurimon [BT6], ADR-09 Gatekeeper, Tommy Hitomi and Shu-Cheng Wong + Lopmon [EX2] can stop it as a Sec Check, too. Even Izzy Izumi [BT4] in D-Brigade. I stopped AncientGreymon with Flamemon [BT6] in it's stack with my Machinedramon [EX1] (negate the destruction to counter Piercing) or play a black based Gaiomon (+1k by Tapimon [BT9]) for a 14k blocker. The deck is strong but not the best of the best, especially without High-Speed Plug-in D which is necessary for Jamming and unblockable swings to finish with Omnimon [BT5]. Don't sleep on Blocker + Retaliation by DexDORUgamon with Ouryuken and DexMons around.
Hello everyone, my apologies I completely forgot to include the 2 Lightning Jousts in the video which is why the deck totaled to 48 cards. My bad!
We need that new jesmon and ragnaloardmon deck profile with combos we all waiting 😢

I thought ancientgreymon's effect didn't count burningreymons as greymons for the security attack plus one?
AncientGreymon also counts Hybrids within the sources which is why BurningGreymon works. Hope this clarifies it!
I really hate that Blitz Omnimon is always a tech

Still not acknowledging the Emperor Greymon ? Is that card just useless?

Doesn't Chikurimon De-digivolve 1 in security from black decks ruin the combo?
Security checks still go through, they only stop when the Digi leaves the field completely.
Well De-digivolve 1 onto Ancientgrey will make the stack loose basically all its sec +, but yeah It won't die
I have a consistent list for ancient greymon. It helps me alot. How can I share with you?
Nice! Definitely post in the comments here!
it´s an 48 card deck 🤔
You're right! My bad. I forgot to include the 2 Lightning Jousts and talk about them. Thanks for pointing that out!
I play 4 fire ball

Should have unsubbed a long time ago if you don’t like digimon
