Great video AVAULT! I wanted to chime in on my experiences with playing Mastemon in the BT9 format. During BT8, with Imperialdramon running rampant everywhere, taking board control as a Mastemon player was very difficult because Paildramon's DNA digivolving effect consistently bottom decking your hard played ultimate or Gatomon. Now that Imperialdramon fell out of favour for the big stack OTK decks, Mastemon has very good matchups against this meta. I strongly believe Mastemon is a top contender in this meta, but the way I play it now is slightly different than in BT8. I've shifted my priority in the early game from building a Gatomon line for Mastemon DNA plays to immediately hard dropping an ultimate and digivolving into Ophanimon as soon as possible with draw/trash support from Tapirmon and Demimeramon inheritable. With the addition of the new Maycrackmon, Ophanimon has become a board controlling MONSTER in the early game: being able to trigger both deleting a level 4 and security recovery at the same time, floating a level 4 from trash, and gaining 2 memory on deletion. If you don't have Maycrackmon, hard dropping a MagnaAngemon or even an Angewomon is very solid too, giving us an additional recovery (7 security puts us out of range of most OTK decks) and security +1 respectively. I also wanted to note that one of the strongest bread and butter interaction in this deck is simply to Flame Hellscythe and bring back Maycrackmon, trashing a yellow card. This gives an opponent's digimon -9000 DP and can get over most ultimates. This is a crazy board swing in your favour... having a body on your board for next turn and removing an ultimate, which your opponent won't usually expect because most effects target level 4 or below. I've been having very good success against all the OTK decks this format (apart from WarGreymon... this one can a tough matchup because of the deletion prevention... the 4 chaos degradations will save you here).
I just got into the game with X Record and got exactly Parallel World Tactician and wanted to try building it around Ordinemon. So this video is absolutely perfect for me. Not sure if I’ll try the more expensive cards, but this is an excellent guide to help me build my own Ordinemon deck.
Didn't see any combos, just a guide how to play the deck. It's a really nice walkthrough if you're new with the deck. My mastemon doesn't run that many options, u just choke the deck with it. 1st big mistake for a mastemon player. My recipe runs for ordinemon more than mastemon and I thinks it's way more effective than rushing for a mastemon.
I would replaced Salamon (Yellow) for Ghostmon to have a blocker. Salamon trait doesn't look like it'll come into play much considering there's only 5 Level 4's, four of which has the same trait also I would LOVE to see your take on a budget version of this deck or some alternative to some of the more expensive cards, I'm new to the game and some of the $30+ cards are a bit hard to justify buying lol
Im really hoping BT-11 will introduce an Ultimate Level Silphymon and a purple/yellow aquilamon that lets you jogress ladder into silphymon and then letting you ladder into Ordinemon

I really like this deck! In my build, I play 4x Demimeremon (egg) and 4x Tapirmon for rookie rushing/draws. I have not been punished for not having floodgates, but I think they may need to go in!
The sleeves in the video appear to be 'perfect fit' (for the purposes of double-sleeving). Dragonshield are generally good sleeves, however they leave a large gap above the card, whilst *some* colours will let the card backs show through. Ultrapro Eclipse are nice for obfuscating the card backs, have the best feel whilst shuffling imo, however have almost no gap above the card and are *very* close to having the card top peeking out of the sleeve (somewhat the opposite problem to Dragonshield) A nice budget option I've recently tried is Titanshield (from Amazon) for 14$, which are bundled with enough to sleeve three decks. I was initially concerned as user reviews stated the sleeves were see-through, however the colour I purchased (lime green) is without issue, and are some of the best sleeves I own.
Hey so I was courious about something with your deck. And yeah I know it's not budget to a degree. But my question is why not run some some of the x antibody support. I mean yeah your looking at least a pay cost of 3 to start but with the x antibody support that gets more cards in hand more often.
I just finished updating my Mastemon deck though for now I had to put the bt3 LadyDevimon and starter deck Angewomon to 3 since I only own one copy of Bt1 MagnaAngemon.
Angewomon will help u more than magnaangemon believe me! I won a match vs d-reaper thanks to the -2 sec. Magna helps u recover a lot even in tough situations, but with OTK metas the +1 recovery won't help u to survive 1 more turn if u have no way to stop the player of checking all of your secs. And Mastemon decks only helps u one way, either u recover or u get board control if you don't have a mastemon play at hand to survive the turn. Trust me, angewomon -2 sec will help u a long the way.

I probably might cut MagnaAngemon and one of my two copies of Meicoomon for maybe two copies of Venusmon when bt10 comes to the tcg since when you digivolve into her she gives all opponent’s Digimon -1 sec and during the opponent’s turn their Digimon. With sec attack can’t attack her and can’t activate when attacking and when digivolving effects.
@@kish45 Cut meicoomon like right now and replace it. Meicoomon doesn't help at all in the deck, I've tried it and it just doesn't work and I ended trashing it from hand bc I didn't need it. Replace it for another more useful one. Check your current deck list and see what could work better for your deck.
@@kish45 Lol I get you. If you're gonna replace a lv 4 for another lv 6 in bt10, think it twice bc u might break your ratio draws and get more stuck hands. Even myself with my own recipe, I get a lot of stuck hands and my deck is quite even in ratio draws. Mastemon's weakness. I would remove one copy of Raguelmon for a Venusmon one, but I think that's it. Having lv 3 and lv 4 plays are always important. Try to replace meicoomon for analog youth and see how it works.
Mastemon's been one of my favorite decks since it launched and I enjoy this build of the deck. My only question is the ST Salamon. Its inheritable is good, yes, but looking at the way this deck is built its inheritable only stays viable if you digivolve on top of BlackGatomon. ST Gatomon gives that effect already so I feel it kind of looses its use. Unless you're using it to DNA a Mastemon with something else that doesn't have the inheritable, not that I've ever hard played an Ophanimon: FD Mode in my life or anthing. But just something that I was curious about. Thoughts? Something I might be overlooking?
I decided to swap DemiMeramon for Tsunomon BT6-006 because you are trashing a lot of cards from your hand from LadyDevimon or Maycrackmon. I also swapped BlackGatomon for Meicoomon from BT9, but I did a more of them. I may alter the ratios depending on it plays. I did not use the ST10 LadyDevi, either. I just think the other LadyDevi is just better. I stuck with 4 copies of Mastemon, as well as 2 Ophanimon still. I went with 2 Raguelmon, as well as 2 Ordinemon, but that's mostly because I didn't want to spend the money to get Zwart Defeat. I still only run 2 Chaos Degredation because it feels bad when it gets stuck in hand. I don't run the memory boosts because I think there's enough searching now and I don't see myself being memory gated to feel the need for them. I have no Calling from Darkness, but it does seem like a good recursion option. Otherwise, my deck looks the same as what you built.
@@drpulcinella1870 I’d have to go back and look at the cards but if I remember the only card for the D-Reapers that states reduce memory cost was Reaper and that got changed to set which bypasses psychmon or was there another D-Reaper that has reduce memory cost on it?

The deck is still very playable. But it does struggle quite a lot since the current format is really fast. I heard it is making a come back in BT14 though which is very exciting!

Hello, you can do either!
You can do any level 3. It just has an alternate for Gatomon, with an additional effect if Gatomon is in its source.

The ST10 Salamon is definitely very niche and specific where it may be better to replace it with other rookies instead.

Only the big father reaper is immune not the whole archetype

@@geoffreyfarrar5941 only the big father reaper, ADR02 searcher and the mother D reaper had it but only 20 cost one got changed to get around psychmon
