Hi Carrie! Question: "Why did you come to Poland" is very common in Poland. This curiosity is due to the fact that usually Poles emigrated to the west. After Poland joined the European Union, about 2.5 million Poles emigrated to Great Britain, Ireland and Germany. The trend has been reversed for several years now. In 2018, Poland accepted 600,000 emigrants, more than Germany. Most of them were Ukrainians, but also Belorusian, Vietnamese, Hindus, Russians.
Officials need to fulfill their quote of investigation to show that they are taking their work seriously. Obviously thy picked at someone who look different. I am sorry for your experience.
Thank you for sharing❤️ Quite informative and honest conversation you literally did the entire homework for us and this helps in goal setting and focus especially for young Zimbabweans like me back home.... we definitely need more content like this
Welcome to Europe. I think Polish people are very nice, polite and down to earth, of course not all. The girls remind me of back home in Zim. and men are very helpful and sociable. Hope you're taking the language learning very seriously. I enjoyed your story, you're very good at it, you can do more in that field too. You reminded me of Chimamanda !!!
So If you knew what was waiting for you, you wouldn't come. Funny to hear that Lublin was underwhelming. It's one of our proudest cities :D And Poland isn't even considered a poor country. We're one of the booming ones. We have the same economy as Turkey. Try Ukraine, Belarus or the Balkans. These guys are in trouble. They have wars periodically. I only saw Harare in pictures, but I was impressed that you have solar powered streetlights. The reason we don't have skyscrapers is because people don't like them and they're very expensive to use. Apartment buildings make sense up to 10...20 stories. Anything above is just a waste of money. So they're only built for the corporations in a couple main cities per country.
I’m telling you the airport experience is so similar, When you actually realize you’re black 😂😂🤣🤣. And the boarder control at the airport 😥😥, I was held for 5 hours unnecessarily.
I can only tell you, you were not held at the airport because you are black. I am Polish and have had the same experience like yourself in the UK before Poland joined European Union, don't blame everything on the colour of your skin girls.
If you expect to see lots of skyscapers in Europe... you are confusing Europe with USA and Asia. In Europe basically only 3 cities build sky scrapers: London, Frankfurt am Mein and... Warsaw :)
Honey , even when you come to Australia, they would ask you similar questions what is your reason to come to this country. I think they have a policy to do it😊
Do you think you’ll consider doing nursing in the future? I personally think it’s a good career choice coz it opens up doors to different careers not just limited to actual nursing.
You are right, I realised when I started my course that some things I actually needed nursing to practice them in real life.So I am a bit on the fence about it now.Its no longer a straight No for me..
hope you saw Kazimierz nad Wisla - pretty place also there is not too far from Lublin museum of famous polish writer Jan Kochanowski - this is my climate my homeland
You are a very beautiful lady. Good luck with the Beauty science. However I realized that you should go to school in a more cosmopolitan city - maybe Warsaw, Krakow or Gdansk.
Thank you for sharing such information. I wanted to ask if its possible to a foreigner (Zimbabwe) to get 100% fully funded scholarship, merit based......... and my second question is will I get a chance to have my cost of living covered from either part of the scholarship or if its possible to apply for a job before arrival using my student visa probably to cover my cost of living. Do help. I want to apply for my Master's degree, MBA. I have no clue on the required documents and the supported process?
Hi . I am polish I work with people from Zimbabwe . You are never disappointed me . You are beautiful people .

🥺longest hours of my life.
You know you really think I’m going to be sent back home..
Same here, was there for 5 straight hours and them not being clear why you are detained makes the wait very frustrating
It is not about your skin colour lol. It is in fact about the place you come from and most places that need visas are populated by blacks
