With Suede summer walks I prefer to go a full or full-and-half size down. The Suede version gives a lot when it’s worn for the first few times. The nubuk variant fits true to size.
I think the Dutch design brand Aurelien is far better in case of value for money there about 365€ and are niche Italian quality! They also walk smoother as Santoni Loafers.
Comfort is super important to me with shoes, looking to get either something like this or maybe a bit loafer but want it to last if I’m spending money. Any recs? I’ve heard AE can be comfortable and decent things about Cole haan loafers
I have personally not tried cole haan, so can’t speak on the quality. However, I have a couple Allen Edmonds - park avenue and James dress loafers. I’ve had my park avenues for like 5 years, so the quality is good. Dress shoes and bit loafers wouldn’t be as comfortable as summer walks tho.
I wouldn’t say they fit bigger per se, but since I’m wearing them without socks I can go down a half size. Also when I wear size 10.5 shoes they have maybe a little too much room in the toe (but I prefer that as I can just tie my shoe tighter), whereas with a slip on I don’t want my foot to slide back and forth or my ankle to lift up (since I have skinny feet and ankles).
Tbh I haven’t been able to wear them that much since Vancouver gets a lot of rain. Hopefully weather in July switches up and I can wear them more. I can really speak for the durability yet, but I guess irregardless I’ll have them for a lot of time if I can barely wear them 😂
@@sabahashraf hey for me the shoes are more or less in the same shape that they are in the video. i store them in shoe trees and in the dust bag and box when i am not wearing them. i wear them about 1-2 times per month, so not as much as i initially thought when buying them. the insoles aren't smudged, the bottom of the soles have not much further wear, but the shoes have stretched a little, which might be from the shoe trees.
@@alvarodinino my soles have not turned yellow yet. i store my shoes with shoe trees still in the dust bag and in the box. the shoes have stretched a tiny bit, which could be from the shoe trees? to be honest i dont wear them as much as i would have initially thought. i spend most of the nice weather golfing now. i think i average wearing them 1-2 times per month, and mostly during vacations is when i do a lot of the wearing. the soles have not further deteriorated since i have shot the video, and are more or less in the same condition.

I have many pairs of high end shoes. But for summer loafers I went with Massimo Dutti which is 98% identical to the Summer Walks.
the berwick palma flex is another good option

I mean you can just replace them when they wear out lol. I usually get 1-2 seasons out of each pair of Summer/Open walks
Ya I mean can always replace, but at the same time at that price I would like something to last longer.

@@chonger totally understand that, I probably need something more dressy like a bit loafer. I just don’t want to hate myself while wearing them lol
Does the inside of the sole smudge? For some reason, i purchased mine and because of sweat of my foot the ink of the logo is slowly smudging. :/
Hmm I can’t say for sure, mine has not smudged yet
what color way are these classic blue or navy?
They are classic blue!
great video! you said you wear size 10 1/2 but you bought them in size 43, so they do fit bigger?

@@chonger thank you for the answer! do you wear air forces, if yes what size? i'm unsure if I should buy the summer walks in us 10 or 11 (11 in af1)
@@pabloooooo I wear 10.5 in Air Force
Hi what specific colour is this?
It is classic blue
What colour code are your shoes?
It is the classic blue color
So what's the verdict after 9 months of wearing them? Did they hold up? Are those lp worth the 1k ?

Cost 20$ to make
Oh well, I don’t have the skill to make them haha
No winter walks?
Open walks from fiancé?
Can you resell them to me please haha?
Haha no I love them too much
worst quality shoes i ever owned. they cost a fortune. the rubber sole turns yellow after one year. they stretch a lot. terrible quality
Oh no, we’ll see how mine hold up overtime. Hope I don’t have the same experience
