I never usually have enough time to watch these full length BTS scenes but I was able to watch yours, your voice is so relaxing to hear, and these were the perfect brides and groom to do a full length BTS video on, they're so chilled!!
I like how when a bridal party member was trying to give direction to Katelyn, she just kept rolling and staying on task. She didn't respond or acknowledge what the person said. I know family members and friends mean well but sometimes people want to just take control of the photographer. Great job Katelyn!
Katelyn, you are amazing. I’m a clinical nurse and ive had some emergencies at weddings. I actually bring a full set of equipment and first aid kit as I’ve had some strange medical issues at weddings. You do the right thing and I cannot commend you enough. ❤ fainting isn’t alway an urgent emergency situation but it looks like everyone did so well and supported the couple and guests. 😊
I want to share my most unfortunate wedding story that happened this year, after doing weddings for 10 years now nothing ever happened like that. Bride and groom spend a lot of money on the wedding, and it was in the mountains. When I got to the bride’s getting ready, I started with details, then I went to start taking pictures of the bride getting ready. Bride did not feel well, I did not take any pictures of her. So I went to do guys getting ready, while bride would feel better. Unfortunately, bride never got better, she was throwing up, and just feeling horrible. I did not take one single picture of the bride, guest arrived, but they never got to see bride, she went to hotel and then she was taken to the ER. It was food poisoning. I loved how families weren’t not panicking and kept everything under control. Couple got married few days later with family and closest friends present. I feel so bad for that couple, they are so amazing. Thank you for sharing your videos Kathlyn, always watching them!
Omg my 2nd wedding was a shocking bright sunshine day, so hot I nearly passed out, but I thankfully did not have to deal with shadows on the day. I’m so grateful for your videos and education, it helps me enormously. Well done soothing the bride. I slip into mother mode , or old fav Aunty mode, to keep the bride and her mum super relaxed and it shows in the comfort of their smile In pics.
I can't relate to you more Katelyn! When you merged two words together I thought yep been there! 😅😂 Such a beautiful wedding and beautiful pictures as always! Loved watching this!!! ❤😊
I wish on your videos and tutorials that when you show your settings for shots, that when you use the 28-70 lens that you would include the focal length. That would help me understand how you got your shot.
Awesome BTS! So great to see everything come together! Question: Did you get a chance to photograph candids during cocktail hour? Is that something that you usually do? Or would you only do that if there wasn't a time crunch
This reminds me of a wedding I shot in 2022. An uncle of the groom had a heart attack inside the church 5 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to begin. Being CPR certified I immediately jumped into action. He didn’t have a pulse and myself and a groomsmen who was a metic did CPR. Thank God we got his pulse back by the time the ambulance arrived. The entire time the bride and groom never knew what was going on. They weren’t told until after the ceremony ended.
So when using flash during speeches, do you ever worry that it’s to repetitive or gets annoying, the constant flashing going on? Is that ever a problem?
I have had obstacles I wanted to remove or hide that were not so flattering like the "wedding cake / plastic." One thing that always works for me is HSS but you have to change so many settings and is certainly a pain in the arse.
First of all, thank you so much for sharing such valuable information with other photographers like myself. God bless you and your entire team ! I am hoping to make my event lighting investment soon, do you mind sharing the gear you use for that? The off cámara flashes
The human brain is a fascinating place they way people value certain things lol. One person would have a $400 budget, someone else will pay $50k for headshots (I’m scouting for those people 😂)

so enlightening to see how a seasoned professional does a wedding, while hearing the thought process that is happening. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!

Michael normally is able to get some during that time.

For the family portraits… What settings do you typically stick too..? Including Fstop?
The setting would be complete dependent on when and where you shoot, so even if she gives you her settings you may not get the same results.
do you send them the photos like that with the whites completely blown out? (the flash pics)
way to go, professional
Can you link your jumpsuit?
Nice video I loved it! A have a question. Why you don’t use a strap o something to carry your camera?
That’s the lens I want.

3:38 Was he about to say Dumbledore's name??
Heat isn't the only reason people faint. It's probably low down on the list of why people faint actually
Any KJ students in Chicago? trying to find a photographer for my wedding!!
I'm in SC but totally willing to Travel!
50K Floral Budget, $400 Photography Budget in some cases
The human brain is a fascinating place they way people value certain things lol. One person would have a $400 budget, someone else will pay $50k for headshots (I’m scouting for those people 😂)

They spend 50.000 on flowers, but have the party in a plastic tent.
I know this is bad, but I wanna know what $50,000 worth of SHEIN flowers would look like 🤣
