The Nigata Marine four-stroke diesel engine makes a knocking noise.What is the reason, sir?

One possibility is on the Super-Charger. If the engine is super-charged verify the condition on the bearings. Other possibility is an spring broken at the flex-plate in the bellhousing, Other possibility is play at the crankshaft bearings, check the oil pressure. if the oil pressure decrease dramatically you should take an oil sample to verify the bearings condition. Good Luck

There are different reasons. No 1 could be a low pressure due to worn bearings. Check oil pressure. It should be over 40 PSI, then try to take an oil sample. If the level of Zn, Al, and Cu are over the limit the bearings are gone.
