Dear Jon, I've watched the episode You've offered to clean the ground by the Church have been burned down ...! Touched my heart by your kind act . God bless U, your family & the crews ....👍
John, I have noticed with the Fecon that has gone back you would run over the “trash” several times. May be this one needs fewer passes to give the same mulch size as the Fecon? If it does it could save time and fuel
I love the work you all do I think you should get in contact with people like Whitetail properties and others that concentrate on habitat for whitetail deer turkeys Quail Etc and figure out what to take out what and what to keep to bring in animals that people want for hunting like your Oaks anything that is going to supply food even your shrubbery keep what animals need get rid of areas so the sunlight can hit and grow but they do need areas for bedding and having their chicks or fawns and food plots you could do a lot in your area to help out the hunting people not just people don't want to clear out land to build a home and indiscriminate Lee get rid of everything
Whatever your customer wants if they want thika cut wood chips or they want fine cut like the businesses that you go to and you have to mulch up them bushes and stuff a lot of them wanted to be fine cut so they can get it out of there and the grass can start growing and then they can maintain it
I have roughly 800hr on mine and it has been great. The sharping is best done with an electric grinder. I have gone through air and battery powered and they can not hold up. 36grit with a rubber backing pad. Also you should talk with the dealer about having some braces welded on to the quick attach plate. I can send pictures if you are interest. Also I know you talked about not sharping it but I know guys who sharpen them 2times a day. I sharpen everyday. Half life of the teeth productions drops a lot and sharping can take a very long time if not kept up with.
I have almost 3000 hrs on my 450, and it has been such a good head. I sharpen every day also. I work mostly for my local Power Co-Op, and they want production and good fone mulch. I use the same setup for sharpening. 20-30 mins tops on dull teeth.
Wow! What a difference! It looks fantastic and o know the customer is very happy with the results. See y’all on the next one. Upstate Brush Control Crew rides again!!!
From experience< Prinoth makes great heavy equipment for hauling and moving everything on remote construction projects, so seeing this mulching head video helps my understanding more. Jusr wondering how this head would deal with Florida scrub palm trees or kudzo vines I have seen in the hills and hollers of kentucky
I WONDER WHY HE JUST DIDNT PAY THE MONEY AND NOT BE DOING BRAND DEALS WITH A MACHINE THATS ESSENTIAL TO YOUR COMPANIES WELL BEING NEW MACHINE PAY CASH FONT GET CAUGHT SLACKING ALL THIS TIME I THOUGHT YOU OWN THE MACHINE GOOD MONEY HE WAS MAKING ON THESE DIFFERENT JOBS
Hi John, Toni and are extremely pleased with what you did . We can't thank you enough for doing such a great job on the property . I highly recommend Jon and Upstate Brush Control to anyone who needs this kind of work done. He is a fine young man and conducts himself in a very professional manner and certainly treated us fairly. I noticed the comments about the school house and it's preservation. Unfortunately we don't have a choice in the matter. According to Greenville county it has to be demolished within 30 days of completion of the new structure As a side note ...the building has extreme termite damage and mold issues. It wouldn't be economically feasible to renovate the structure. Thank you again Jon. I hope we can stay in touch. I appreciate you recommending Adam. He was able to resolve the issue we talked about.
I’m impressed with the Prinoth mulching head! It seemed to buzz right through trees and all. It was kind of scary when that pine tree whipped back and ended up falling on your machine! Y’all do an amazing job; God bless y’all and have a happy Easter!
I've run the same head it was okay. I found that the carbide tooth on the end of the head couldn't bite through vines. And would wrap in the drum. Got very frustrated after some time. Currently running a cimaf 180d. On a Cat 299d3xe Lm.
Great video as usual! It's unfortunate that the owner is planning on tearing down that old school house though. North America needs to preserve the meager architectural history it has!
I have to agree with this sentiment. Additionally, if the foundation is sound on that church, with some good masons he can expand the building to his liking and make it his new home. The client can save a bundle of money and have his dream home. Even the shed can be restructured and customized for his equipment. Just a thought you might pass along to the client. I'll comment separately on thoughts of how the mulch size might be thickened. I'll close by saying you have some nice cutlery there.
G'day John. I have no experience with any type of mulcher but was thinking that the finer mulch produced by the Prinoth as compared to the Fecon may be as a result of a few factors: 1. You are using the Prinoth in the same way you used the Fecon - may be if you did fewer back and forth passes the mulch produced would not be as fine; 2. I remember someone talking about high flow and low flow options in running mulcher heads - may be that is a factor which will affect the grade of the mulch produced; and 3. The length of the knives on the mulcher head - may be if you fit longer knives on the Prinoth head it will then take bigger bites out of the material being mulched and then the grade of the mulch will be coarser.
warning i don't know anything about the mulcher BUT if you can raise the arms of the skid and lock them up . you should be able to sharpen the blades from the back side easyer ow
Looking good, transformation,is coming right along.I do hope he’s keeping the old school house, and not tearing it down when he builds the new one.I’ve watched numerous other video’s with utubers using this cutter and noticed they get different results in the way they use it.just saying.good video, keep it up 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Jon, are you sure that that's how "Takeuchi?" is pronounced? 😄 Sorry I couldn't resist after the whole Hyundai thing. Question: does someone offer a [for lack of a better term]; a 2 piece "clamp on sharpener" for the style cutter head teeth that both Fecon, Prinoth, and others use? I guess I envision a handheld unit with a fixed grinding stone [about the size of a disc grinder], and a separate small jig that gets attached to a tooth. Once attached the handheld unit is connected to the jig at a pivot point allowing the grinding stone to sharpen up from the bottom at a fixed angle. I'd make one on a rainy day if one isn't available.
Hey John, is it my imagination or does the new mulcher keep it momentum better than the Fecom mulched? Looking at your video it seems that it doesn’t bog down as much as the other mulched. Just curious.
By the Finish from this great Job is to see, the Prinoth 450 S To make a good Work in the Hand from a Profi Mulcher. This is to show in Your Video 👌 Greeting 🇦🇹
Liked your video. Well shot and - of course - well edited. But your remarks about the Prinroth are interesting. It almost sounds like you’re trying to talk yourself into it. You say you like it, but then give us a list of things wrong: too fine a mulch, the sharpening of teeth, the mulcher being too long for the machine. One thing you haven’t mentioned is the purchase and installation of new teeth. And you’re going to need them soon. In this video you’re doing something I rarely, if ever, see you do: mulching whole trees. Usually you cut them down and use the Bobcat to place them in a burn pile or load them into the truck. Again, thank you for a most interesting video.
I see you ran the bullhog, Blackhawk and the prinoth. The Blackhawk is too wide for your everyday work but how much a difference in production when it come to the prinoth or bullhog. Also sharpening plays a factor too and it looks like the bullhog is more simplified for someone that’s new In The business.

These guys bring it. Hire them if you live in Greenville. Best out there!
Wow! What a transformation 👏
John, I have noticed with the Fecon that has gone back you would run over the “trash” several times. May be this one needs fewer passes to give the same mulch size as the Fecon? If it does it could save time and fuel

Wow. That thing does in one pass what takes the Fecon three passes to accomplish. Probably why you're getting the saw dust. That Prinoth is screaming.
Was. Very nice and clean
Thanks!

Well, well done ! The new machine did not slow the crew down. Like I said, “the user tells the outcome”. UBC does another fine job. Be well.
could you go to a different type of tooth for bigger chips . Really enjoy your channel.

Thanks for the tips!
Do you sharpen the underside of the cutters as the prinoth rep advised?
I have almost 3000 hrs on my 450, and it has been such a good head. I sharpen every day also. I work mostly for my local Power Co-Op, and they want production and good fone mulch. I use the same setup for sharpening. 20-30 mins tops on dull teeth.

Looks awesome
The smaller chips go to compost much quicker.
Looks neater.
Blade sharpening is an issue.
nice work!
Seems that it would save time with having to do a finish mulch. Doesn’t bog and stop as much.
Awesome job well done top team thanks for your time and consideration 🤠 y'all be safe out there 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Thanks!

Looks like that head works great, nice job. Have Fun!!
Great job over all and super interesting comparison between the two brands of mulchers. Like everything else, pros and cons to each one.

I like the finer mulch
Great work as usual.
I appreciate that!

I think a denis cimaf 180d would be the way to go….or Atleast maybe demo one after the prinoth.
Hi guys great video guys
Hey, thanks!
Hey Jon
Nice video 👍
Thanks for leaving a comment! We appreciate you watching!
Can you take the cutters, off?
Wow, you guys do wonderful job. Thats what I need to do to my place , it’s so over grown.keep up the good work guys .
Thanks! It makes such a difference!
How many acres like that can y’all generally grind in a day with the 2 machines running?
Typically one machine can do one acre per day.
Gotcha. Would like to dm you if any way possible

Are you keeping the new mulching head? Or is it just a trial for a company? Sorry if I missed it if you already said. Great video. Thanks
For right now we're just trying it out. We acquired it through National Equipment Dealers.
it looks like the 450 does a faster job.
Hello great video. I got a question. How do you give estimates by the job or hours. How much does it start off with.
We bid all our jobs by the terrain, location of the job, and type of material we're cutting.
@@UpstateBrushControl ok cool
Hi buddy

How much does it cost to do a job like this with todays gas prices?
It all depends on the location of the job, type of material, and type of terrain.
I see you ran the bullhog, Blackhawk and the prinoth. The Blackhawk is too wide for your everyday work but how much a difference in production when it come to the prinoth or bullhog. Prinoth is much better, because it leaves a fine smaller pieces.
I agree about not tearing down that old schoolhouse. Too bad.
Too bad that the guy is going to lose the old house.
IGUESS YOU WILL INVEST INTO THIS MACHINE NOW DINT GET CAUGHT SLACKING LIKE YOU DID WITH THE OTHER DEALER FECON
