Thank you! 🙌. I love the 1000X. Using it while camping right now. Here is part 2 th-cam.com/video/Cg7wN5fKfG4/w-d-xo.html Might shoot part 3 as I have some more to share on the unit.
Looking to utilize this on my sailboat, charging all day and then able to plug in electronics at night. The unit would be down below safe and dry and I would run the panels on the deck above in the sun to charge up while underway - do you know if the panels in your video can take SALT WATER mist with the likely occasional spray, likely becoming dripping wet? Are they water proof, so that at the end of the day I can hose them off with fresh water to clean them or are they unable to be wet at all and this wouldn't be an option? Great, informative review!
Thank you!! I don’t see why they would not work with salt water. My panels are covered in snow and water very often. And have been going strong every day for over a year. I would think they would do great for your set up. Let us know how it Goes she have fun!
Using the Nomad 50 with Yeti 1000 , Yeti 1000 display has no input ( blue LED not illuminated, 0 wattage displayed for input ) Yeti 1000 input operates correctly while connected to a Goal Zero 100 watt solar panel or while connected to a Goal Zero 100 watt panel when wired through the Nomad 50 Chain In and Nomad 50 Chain out. Also , when the Nomad 50 is the the only solar panel connected , the Nomad 50 Blue LED illuminates when solar panels properly exposed to sunlight. The Nomad 50 USB output will charge a USB device. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for the Review.... I saw this unit at coscto, Do u think this unit would be good to use for Mobile Car detailers.... To power : A Pressure Washer, Vacuum, 6 gallon Air compressor? Of course not all running at the same time. Maybe 2 things at once. Please respond, would greatly appreciate it
Hello John Boy! I am not sure the power requirements of your tools, but you can add them up and find out for sure. I ran a fan, Dometic Fridge and charged cameras at the same time. I am thinking it will work for at least 2 of your devices. Let us know what you find out! Take care :)
Once you plug in your device and run it, the Goal Zero info screen will tell you how much time you have. For example, I run a 700 Watt microwave for three minutes, but there is a drop in overall capacity (I can't remember how much). I think you would want a 2000X for your needs.
Holy guacamole!!! That is an incredible deal! I am shooting the second part of this review this week. I have some tips on how to push the Yeti a bit more. I think it’s the best set up out there. Thanks for the heads up on the Costco deal. I hope everyone jumps on that!
Thanks that was a great review. I just bought it from Costco for $1,200. i also like to get your roof top solar panel. You said you bought the 100 watt one but said not to exceed 50 watt. Please clarify that. Also the "Anderson connector" you are talking about did it come with it or do i need to buy that separately? If so please send that info too Question - will it power/run my 120VAC 60Hz 1500W heater for 6 hours you think?
Glad it was helpful! Use this link to get the roof top solar panel. 73renogy.refr.cc/seanengearment Should be a 10% discount in there as well :) You can run several hundred watts into the Goal Zero. No limit of 50 watts. You will not get 100w out of the 100w panel most of the time. Closer to 60-85. Just they way it works. I really dont think it will run the 1500w heater for 6 hours.
I just got mine yesterday and was charging from 2/3 solar panels in a temperate zone (Ireland in September). It wouldn't work at all initially, the input would flicker when I'd plug one 175w panel into the 8mm and immediately revert to 0w and no battery charging symbol. After a few times in and out, it started to work pulling in up to 175w in cloud+ sun conditions when I daisy chained my GZ boulder 50 to the Renology 175w using an MC4-8mm adapter. However, when it dropped to a low solar input in watts the GZ1000x display would revert to the 0w & no charging display. If I switched it to my Jackery 500 it would show 12w or whatever....what is going on? Also when I tried to add the 3rd solar panel (a Renology 100w) on its own line and into the second 8mm port ( so parallel not series) it did not register at all. Is this normal? Or is my set up wrong or should I reboot it?
I’ve got to go to zero units and they both operate perfectly fine on overcast days/cloudy days. I would say the input power is about 50% when the clouds are out, but still charge is great. I don’t even face the panels of the sun I just leave them on the floor facing straight up and they charge for mourning up to sundown regardless of clouds. Really great unit zero good quality
💁🏼♀️Hi how many hours does it take to charge with that 100 panel? I have the 200 boulder but it’s too heavy. I might switch out to get the 1000 right now. I’ve got the 700. That’s awesome.🙋♀️🌈🌈🌈🤸♀️
Have you seen people or yourself experiencing problenms with this 1000x ? Charging problems. Seen a couple reviews with complaints. Help me out with info if u can . Cause i wanna buy this tomorrow for 674 dollars brand new
So is the nomad 100 the solar panel to go for with a yeti 1000x? I’ve seen a deal on the 1000x and the boulder 100 panel? Is that any good? I need it in my van. I’ll be mostly running a couple little usb fans, maybe some lights in the evening. Then charging my Mavic & FPV batteries regularly, and perhaps a small domestic fridge. Cheers
Yep. That is a great set up. I put an additional 100w and extra 50w on my roof top tent (150w potentially) had it chargers up the 1000 in less than 8 hours. Sounds like the 100w and 1000w will be a good fit for your application. If possible, more power always helps! Meaning, I will run up to 4 panels (there is a nifty adapter for the goal zero system) and I am more than covered. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Summer time use in Colorado...Ok, how long will battery last just using the battery for dometic? And how much does the 100w solar pannel help being Stagnant for days...if sun in just right for the dometic?
@@chris74ify good question! I will see how long using just the battery with the domestic. I would guess 2 days. As that has been as long as I have gone without a charge.
