I used to buy these a few years ago when the used to $5 here in Canada when ever I have a chance. They sell out so fast here. I had a box in my cart at Michaels, but they weren't even full, I put it back. The last time I got a box it had a lot of florals for fall and 2 large signs, that was worth my 10 dollars
I bought a grab bag a few months ago, but I should have taken a closer look. I opened it in my car and then drove to a nearby Goodwill and dropped the item off.
So basically you got all the clearance items that haven't sold in one big box! I actually thought this was a great box but ONLY because I could use every bit of the greenery/floral items (including the large roll of wreath mesh and bags of glittery balls) to make holiday topiary trees. I would disassemble the broken Joy signs and use the greenery from them on the trees as well! The broken items were in poor taste but they probably thought someone could repurpose those items instead of sending them to the landfill. I've seen some amazing ways people use junk.... Definitely a total disappointment for a paper crafter!! Hopefully you found something you can use!
My friend got 2 boxes at my lical Michaels, and they didn't have even half as much as yours in them. It was all Christmas and mostly Hanukkah. But no broken items.
I’ve only ever gotten three or four boxes. No crafty stuff. Just decor. And a case of Christmas cards. Some I’ve used; some I’ve sent; and some I’ve given away. I’ll craft with some of them. I love that you only got two boxes. I hate that there are people on TH-cam that get 10+ boxes from multiple locations, keeping others from getting any. Just my opinion.
You did get a lot of stuff but I think you got way more than your share of broken stuff and empty packaging. Personally I would make contact with the store and show them what was put in. That makes people not want to buy these leftovers in the future.
The frames are beautiful and have a lit of potential. Take the feet off, sand it, paint it and there are lits of options after that. You're a crafter and im sure creative.
@@KarolinasKraftsno, kneaded erasers are more for graphite and pencil drawing 😊 There is a ‘glue’ eraser… kind of like a square rubbery thing. Works best on rubber cement and things that are slightly tacky. I think they even sell them at Dollar Tree now
Hmmm I don’t think I would be happy with those. Too much thinking involved to try and use them. I think I would take a lot of it into school and see if they could use it all xx
Those were a bit disappointing. I quit buying them a couple years ago when I ended up giving everything to my local charity shop. My grandkids used to love opening the boxes when they were young.
I feel you got your money worth from these boxes, especially the large wall hangings are worth more than $10. An idea, you could paint those three frames white and hang them in your crafty space with pink and white paper in them. I would suggest hanging them to the right of the window. Lots of white space there.
While that’s a fun and creative idea, I definitely will not be sticking those to my wall. I had all the blue bits from those all over my floor after filming this video.
I'm not sure what you're complaining about the 2 pictures you received was worth the 20 you spent. I understand being a tiny bit upset about the broken items but to trash them, no they are still usable just not in the way they were supposed to be. I'm a crafter and you got some great boxes. I would estimate that the 2 boxes would retail for over 300 and that's on the low side of which you paid 20 for. I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected but it's called grab bags for a reason. For $10 a box I feel like you got a great deal! Sure there were a few broken items but that’s part of what makes them able to sell the grab boxes. The employee’s are able to throw items in a box without much time or effort effectively creating a win win for both the customer and the store. The price would go up if they had to piece through their overstock items and specifically curate a box…hence the term “grab box”
Oh sweetie, these are not the worst ever! You got your moneys worth I feel you are disappointed because you didnt get what you wanted. Unfortunately thats the deal with these grab boxes. I miss the $2 days but let me tell you my worst box...yarn, party invitations, dried clay and a paintbrush. yup... as far as those 20 picks you got...thats a wreath waiting to happen... those bags of fillers, I would use to fill vases and jars to add to the holiday decor....those picture frames...cut the other leg off the broken one...smooth it down, repaint both and add the no legged one on top of the good one and you have a double frame. You are so creative and talented, Im sure youll make great things.
i'm really just upset that they had the nerve to include trash with no product and just packaging, broken items they wouldn't sell in the store, and items with missing pieces like the acrylic stand and base. I could've actually used that had I had the pieces that were suppose to be in there that they were charging $10 for in the store! I understand they want to get rid of things, but it's suppose to be a Christmas/Valentines Day grab bag of things they want to get rid of cause season is over... not broken things and plain ol packaging. So, I do not want this comment to sound mean at all cause that's not the objective. But first, isn’t the purpose of these grab bags to give a second life to things that weren’t sold for a cheaper price? also, it’s not because something is broken that you should throw it away. I think that’s a very capitalistic way of seeing things and very unfriendly to the environment. Especially coming from a crafter, I feel like our job as crafters is to see the potential in anything to make it beautiful, but that’s just me. Just thought I’d share my thoughts on this.

Maybe next time it will be better. Oh, on that large wonky frame: Just get it wet and put something heavy on it for a few days. If you can get the vacking off or loosen it up, that should help! Try using a flat pallette knife or butter knife.

I would definitely complain. While you did get your money's worth, they shouldn't have thrown in the trash. When I worked retail, we could get credit from manufacturers if something was broken. While I wouldn't demand my money back, trash is just rude, insulting, and lazy.
Most disappointing - there were no papercrafting items at all! No stickers. No washi tape. No paper. No stamps, ink, pens or glitter. So much floral. There wasn't even decor in the second box. I miss the time 8 years ago when I got dozens of rolls of washi and 15 boxes of color-your-own Christmas cards in grab boxes.

FYI, that gray "sticky thing" was a Knead eraser. 😂 They are amazing. You can shape them to erase delicate shapes and details.

Actually when they were cheaper years ago they were much better and you got a large variety of overstock items, not 20 of the same item.
