I think that the box was not that bad. Lots of potential.
My worse box was 90% empty. Only had teacher's stuff. Bulletin board trim and a teacher flat chart.
Sorry you didn’t feel like you got your money’s worth. 😢 I see lots of crafty potential! The frames would be fun to make a collage of greenery or little bits of ANY holiday goodness (covering the gold feet) ❤ I often will pick up random X,O,Q,U,and I’s to make XOXO and I❤U items. 😊 Think of the grab bags/boxes as CHALLENGE KITS and have fun thinking out of the box. 📦

You shouldn't complain. You ended up with loads of useable things! Use your creativity. Someone else who I watched ended up with three boxes full of kid's Valentine cards (like 30 packages) and loads of xo cookie cutters. If these are the WORST GRAB BAGS you've bought, then you've been lucky!
In spite of getting her money back, putting the trash in there is just insulting. There's no excuse for that.

Don’t trash the joy pick just remove the joy and add something else from your stash lol and it’s perfect 🤩
The greenery picks would make a very pretty full wreath.
I used to buy these a few years ago when the used to $5 here in Canada when ever I have a chance. They sell out so fast here. But lately I have been reluctant because I have enough in my craft space that I can make my own grab boxes. LOL Also I dont want to get upset on what I would have received. I dont know why they would put garbage in there. Some people have no care anymore.
Put warped picture on table and put something heavy on it.
You did get a lot of stuff but I think you got way more than your share of broken stuff and empty packaging. Personally I would make contact with the store and show them what was put in. That makes people not want to buy these leftovers in the future.
I use the letters and numbers to personalize things when I decorate for events. I use the mesh to make wreaths. I got 2 boxes and both had Valentine's stuff. One had 35 boxes of classroom Valentine's day cards.😂 I would have loved to get that greenery. I make arrangements as well. Maybe we'll have better luck with Easter. Tfs Happy Crafting 🙂

I remember getting happy planners and paper pads, ribbon and Christmas cards and other things in the boxes years ago !! They were better back then

So basically you got all the clearance items that haven't sold in one big box! I actually thought this was a great box but ONLY because I could use every bit of the greenery/floral items (including the large roll of wreath mesh and bags of glittery balls) to make holiday topiary trees. I would disassemble the broken Joy signs and use the greenery from them on the trees as well! The broken items were in poor taste but they probably thought someone could repurpose those items instead of sending them to the landfill. I've seen some amazing ways people use junk....
Definitely a total disappointment for a paper crafter!! Hopefully you found something you can use!
I had bad ones last year...but the craft paper paper was good.

I did keep that ! I don’t have a hot cocoa or coffee bar , but I loved that sign and it’ll be cute in my hallway on my little shelf 💕
I had a box in my cart at Michaels, but they weren't even full, I put it back. The last time I got a box it had a lot of florals for fall and 2 large signs, that was worth my 10 dollars
I agree that they shouldn’t include empty boxes and broken things. I guess that for the packers, it is jus5 easier to throw stuff in.

I bought a grab bag a few months ago, but I should have taken a closer look. I opened it in my car and then drove to a nearby Goodwill and dropped the item off.

FYI, that gray "sticky thing" was a Knead eraser. 😂 They are amazing. You can shape them to erase delicate shapes and details.
Does it erase glue smudges on paper ? 🧐
@@KarolinasKraftsno, kneaded erasers are more for graphite and pencil drawing 😊 There is a ‘glue’ eraser… kind of like a square rubbery thing. Works best on rubber cement and things that are slightly tacky. I think they even sell them at Dollar Tree now

The second box was the most fun I think. I, like you, am surprised they put broken and missing things in the boxes. I think the cups with the "O" on them are initials. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve only ever gotten three or four boxes. No crafty stuff. Just decor. And a case of Christmas cards. Some I’ve used; some I’ve sent; and some I’ve given away. I’ll craft with some of them.
I love that you only got two boxes. I hate that there are people on TH-cam that get 10+ boxes from multiple locations, keeping others from getting any. Just my opinion.
Yeah I def don’t want to get more, I end up throwing a lot out or gifting it so I don’t want to wast my money on more
I have used Christmas cards as gift tags.
My friend got 2 boxes at my lical Michaels, and they didn't have even half as much as yours in them. It was all Christmas and mostly Hanukkah. But no broken items.
The broken items and the packaging with no product is really where I was like the nerve to put that in a box !
All our boxes were half empty.
Hmmm I don’t think I would be happy with those. Too much thinking involved to try and use them. I think I would take a lot of it into school and see if they could use it all xx
Oh sweetie, these are not the worst ever! You got your moneys worth I feel you are disappointed because you didnt get what you wanted. Unfortunately thats the deal with these grab boxes. I miss the $2 days but let me tell you my worst box...yarn, party invitations, dried clay and a paintbrush. yup... as far as those 20 picks you got...thats a wreath waiting to happen... those bags of fillers, I would use to fill vases and jars to add to the holiday decor....those picture frames...cut the other leg off the broken one...smooth it down, repaint both and add the no legged one on top of the good one and you have a double frame. You are so creative and talented, Im sure youll make great things.
i'm really just upset that they had the nerve to include trash with no product and just packaging, broken items they wouldn't sell in the store, and items with missing pieces like the acrylic stand and base. I could've actually used that had I had the pieces that were suppose to be in there that they were charging $10 for in the store! I understand they want to get rid of things, but it's suppose to be a Christmas/Valentines Day grab bag of things they want to get rid of cause season is over... not broken things and plain ol packaging. That's what I'm frustrated with the most.
The frames are beautiful and have a lit of potential. Take the feet off, sand it, paint it and there are lits of options after that. You're a crafter and im sure creative.
Take one of the "y" that is broken and see if you can attatch the left side of the y to one of the other ones and add glitter.
I make bows with that mesh.

Those were a bit disappointing. I quit buying them a couple years ago when I ended up giving everything to my local charity shop. My grandkids used to love opening the boxes when they were young.

While that’s a fun and creative idea, I definitely will not be sticking those to my wall. I had all the blue bits from those all over my floor after filming this video.

That’s actually a great idea ! But more so to keep the bunnies out from eating all my snow peas, and green beans this year !
I used mesh last year around my zucchini plants to keep squash bugs out as I planted earlier. It worked.

So, I do not want this comment to sound mean at all cause that's not the objective. But first, isn’t the purpose of these grab bags to give a second life to things that weren’t sold for a cheaper price? also, it’s not because something is broken that you should throw it away. I think that’s a very capitalistic way of seeing things and very unfriendly to the environment. Especially coming from a crafter, I feel like our job as crafters is to see the potential in anything to make it beautiful, but that’s just me. Just thought I’d share my thoughts on this.
I buy these boxes all the time. I am not a crafter as I don’t love clutter around. I buy these boxes to be able to use them. If they are broken they shouldn’t even be put in the box bc what is one going to do with a 8 picks that’s way J O I 😂😂.

I can totally understand why you are upset at getting trash! Empty packages? Really?
The Joy picks can be disassembled and even repaired by just a couple of layers of paper and a bit of filler cardboard to fix the letter.
But I personally, I don't buy things that I can't see because my space is limited, and I would rather spend $20 on something I need, rather than random stuff to overwhelm my storage..But that's great for people who have money to burn! 😂❤

Oh, on that large wonky frame:
Just get it wet and put something heavy on it for a few days. If you can get the vacking off or loosen it up, that should help! Try using a flat pallette knife or butter knife.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about the 2 pictures you received was worth the 20 you spent. I understand being a tiny bit upset about the broken items but to trash them, no they are still usable just not in the way they were supposed to be. I'm a crafter and you got some great boxes. I would estimate that the 2 boxes would retail for over 300 and that's on the low side of which you paid 20 for. I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected but it's called grab bags for a reason. I'm sorry but you are very ungrateful!!
I feel you got your money worth from these boxes, especially the large wall hangings are worth more than $10.
An idea, you could paint those three frames white and hang them in your crafty space with pink and white paper in them.
I would suggest hanging them to the right of the window. Lots of white space there.
I wish I could have gotten those items. Worth more than what was spent. I didn't get a box because 1 lady bought all the boxes at the store.

For $10 a box I feel like you got a great deal! Sure there were a few broken items but that’s part of what makes them able to sell the grab boxes. The employee’s are able to throw items in a box without much time or effort effectively creating a win win for both the customer and the store. The price would go up if they had to piece through their overstock items and specifically curate a box…hence the term “grab box”
Actually when they were cheaper years ago they were much better and you got a large variety of overstock items, not 20 of the same item.

I think box 1 was worth $10. Box 2 had some trash along with a bunch of not so great stuff.

Most disappointing - there were no papercrafting items at all! No stickers. No washi tape. No paper. No stamps, ink, pens or glitter. So much floral. There wasn't even decor in the second box. I miss the time 8 years ago when I got dozens of rolls of washi and 15 boxes of color-your-own Christmas cards in grab boxes.
I would definitely complain. While you did get your money's worth, they shouldn't have thrown in the trash. When I worked retail, we could get credit from manufacturers if something was broken. While I wouldn't demand my money back, trash is just rude, insulting, and lazy.
