Mets fan here. The Marlins org gets an A+ on how they handled everything. From the players, to the jerseys, to the on field tributes, they nailed it. Very touching. The only words to describe this situation is absolute devastation.
I think that song is the perfect way to say farwell to an amazing baseball player and human being like jose. Keep playing on that field they got up there with the greats I'm sure you'll fit right in.

I was still in shock before all this happened but when they presented the colors and asked for a moment of silence I almost broke into tears when they started playing it. Rest in peace, Jose.
God, this whole situation sucks. So dominant before the age of 25. That whole game last night emotionally crippled me and I'm a Tigers fan. Hoping for the best for the Marlins, Jose's girlfriend, and their child.

Such a shame Marlins ownership went downhill and this team and the MLB never shown much respect or rememberence to his legacy as of to this day. As a Yankees fan this is just terrible of how this team went. I get it this team has 2 trophies but this team is still far from success.

They tanked the game and very understandably so. Colon was throwing meatballs and both organizations were so classy about handling this.
