I am working on some steel loads now and I believe tighter chokes with too much velocity actually hurt the patterns as well. You gave us a great video especially the emphasis on patterning your gun, there is no absolute rules , each gun is unique. Thankyou and you are lucky to have such nice guns. I have a 1953 Browning Auto 5 /Modifed Hastings II barrel and a newer Remington 870 Fieldmster with a wood stock, the Remington still is a sold steel receiver and well made. Thankyou for going this for us. Go Bulldogs, /wife is from Athens.
Really liked this look in. I have not previously used the duplex type loads as I had heard and read not great reviews historically, whether they were turkey shells in lead or steel waterfowl loads. I typically use 3's or 2's for ducks as I prefer a larger pellet as it tends to pass through and create fewer holes (ie less "shot up"). I also like 2's as the large enough to drop a resident canada if one sneaks into the decoys. The 2's and 4's might become my new go-to load so long as price is in line with "normal" steel shells. Around 15-18 bucks for a box of 12ga 3" steel is about where I tend to draw the line in expense. Primer quality is also a big deal. I ran into some Boss shells with fail-to-fire issues in two different models of gun. Nothing more frustrating than working a bird in close and getting nothing but a click.
I’ve used their tungsten matrix and teal steel. Upper price range but good clean ammo, I like this companies products better then their price but still use it for steel ammo(I’ve switched to Tss/steel for Gucci loads with 18gpcc and teeny tiny shot gets tight patterns and goes right threw them)
Are they still making tungsten matrix? I've never seen it for sale. I hear about it like an old retired load. Is this still on the market and will it continue?

interesting they the velocity slowed down at 125F. We used to leave the rounds in the sun to heat up for better performance.
Nicely done
Thank you!
Thanks Rogers and Kent. Great stuff 🇺🇲
Love Kent’s plus 2/4
I still have a few old Activ shells
Bring back 1 9/16 oz fasteel
What town was the duck club located?

Wait, I did some research, yea it's still out there but it's the density of lead for the cost of TSS, which means its obsolete.
I’m afraid to use Tungsten metal shot out of my Beretta 687’s (12ga and 20ga).
Go back to your silver hull loads bud way better than the 2.0 loads
When did steel become the ultimate load? That's laughable
