Great review. Do you find the lever getting stuck when you try to lift the rack up/down? I can’t seem to understand why it’s so tough to work sometimes.

So far I have not had that issue but I have only used it a couple of times so far.

Weren't you using the Young Electric MATE R rack before, Scott?
It sounds like the Yakima doesn't have the same weight capacity.

I have the Young Electric SOLE rack. It only holds 1 bike. My Hollywood rack holds 2 and that is the one I mention I don't like how it clamps over the frame scuffing it. This rack has the weight for my Emtbs so that is what I use it for.

@@scotthardesty - You know...I KNEW that. You reviewed the SOLE and just mentioned the MATE at the end of the review.
My bad.
Since I've not yet bought the MATE, I'm keeping my options open...but, thus far, it's one of the few racks that will hold our future Big Surs.

@@RicLevine Stay tuned. Young Electric make an update to the MATE and have sent it to me for review. I haven't gotten it yet but I expect I might have it reviewed before June is out.

We hope to get our bikes by month’s end…the hitch and rack will follow, though not immediately.
