More than just a great songwriter, in an age where every indie singer is breathy, accented and childlike, she sings in a natural singing voice like a fucking legend.
I actually have no idea about the identity of the back up singer, I just thought she reminded me a lot of Tegan or Sarah. I was a lame attempt at humor. BUT, I was serious about appreciating her contribution to the song. It was awesome.
Sorry, yes, the backup singer, not the bassist. I thought she looked a lot like Tegan or Sarah. (comment above edited accordingly). AND, thanks for pointing out the identity of the singer. Heather is very cool in this performance.
My best friend moved away a few years ago, I had only known him for a year but we kept in contact. Almost a year after he moved, maybe two, we started calling everyday. I was on a trip to Europe at the time. We both confessed to liking each other since we met. We decided, due to the distance, to wait on dating. We finally visited half a year after that. Long story short, he's my boyfriend now, we're in love, and this is our song.
People think I’m absolutely nuts when I say that Angel is seriously the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I absolutely love her music, but absolutely every aspect about her is so gorgeous. If I could describe a type I have now , when people ask, it would be “Angel Olsen”. ❤️❤️❤️
look them up on Ultimateguitar.com. Chords to this one are pretty easy. i'm not endorsing anything, by the way, I just rely on that website for guitar help.
she really needs to sort out a better drummer, every live performances i've seen he's rushing or dragging the tempo when he comes in shame because he has really nice parts
Have you guys listened to the recordings?? He does that intentionally because he's serving Angel's song and he has good dynamics. He's not some robodrummer. As a drummer, I know that serving the song takes way more finesse. Sit down and learn a thing or two if you're a drummer.
I think its because two of them are doing the chord progression. 1 guitar is play open. And the other is playing barred chords.it gives a fuller sound. Then the other one is doing lead. It can also be due to harmonys. Im not. Saying thats for sure what they are doing but its a good guess. Sorry about my spelling
everything I've ever wanted from music, compressed into one 4 minutes performance

That build up is one of the finest musical moments of 2016
Listen to really by prince Daddy and the hyena
So you can see as poor music was in 2016
Lmao it’s awesome but you need to listen to significantly more music if you really believe that
@@wolvesnrp tell me your favourites from that year, always open to listen to good stuff

What about the lead singer???
bass guitarist is kind of cute too

She looks a bit like Julianne Nicholson
is this a real comment?
Wow! A voice like that does not come around very often. She's in a class by herself oh and that song rocks totally!
This song has an amazing allure. Why does it grab me so much?
The Colbert show always has the best performers.
unlike letterman towards the end
Even better live ... great performance. Nice to see that somebody still knows how to write a great rock tune.
Nice to be watching a TH-cam video of a TH-cam video. Gods bless the 21st century.
I'm a old lady, stuck in my generation but I adore her!! Amazing musician.
Yeah she is great!
I've got one foot in my generation and the other all over the place.

Angel is the best and her band is stellar.
Wowowow, her and the band… it’s been a long since we heard music this good. 👏
Backup singer kinda has a Fiona Apple thing goin on
Her band Mount Moriah is great, saw them open for Craig Finn years ago and they more than held their own with his solo band.
She is gorgeous and got the voice of an Angel
she's simply incredible!!
I could take it down to the floorrrrrr.
Love her voice.
Love her voice. But she always looks like she wants to tell someone off.
If you're going to simp do it properly, and simp for Angel Olsen.

Love the way Tegan/Sara softly screams at 2:06.
Saint Lunaire I don't think that's Tegan or Sara...
Heather McEntire
I actually have no idea about the identity of the back up singer, I just thought she reminded me a lot of Tegan or Sarah.
I was a lame attempt at humor.
BUT, I was serious about appreciating her contribution to the song. It was awesome.
thought you meant the background singer
Sorry, yes, the backup singer, not the bassist.
I thought she looked a lot like Tegan or Sarah.
(comment above edited accordingly).
AND, thanks for pointing out the identity of the singer.
Heather is very cool in this performance.
I thought music was dead, color me wrong. Just AWESOME.

When I get a multiple personality episode I wear a wig and think I'm angel Olsen and start singing and my room becomes a dance floor.
Angel Olsen plays "Shut Up Kiss Me" on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Thanks for your comment , I had no idea what was going on
People think I’m absolutely nuts when I say that Angel is seriously the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I absolutely love her music, but absolutely every aspect about her is so gorgeous. If I could describe a type I have now , when people ask, it would be “Angel Olsen”. ❤️❤️❤️
Every bit as entertaining as official video/recording.
THAT BACKUP SINGER THO.....!!!!!!!!
timothee chalamet is surprisingly a good drummer

Would love to see her speed this up a bit for a more chaotic punk feel. Incredible nonetheless

Who's the guitarist to her left playing the Gibson? I like his style.
🌹
Is the backing singer the short haired girl from the 1975 Girls video?
The bass player looks like Nick Valensi from the Strokes! And yeah, I know she's a lady

Hahaha yes..... that comment made my day,
poor lil bb gets nervous
patrrikk he’s also hella boring to watch and everyone else is a great performer

To slow the version here much better on the Record
What's the purpose of having 3 guitars? 1 for rhythm & 1 for the solos seems more than enough.
Matthew, spelling's fine, the punctuation is off though. Also 'harmonies'
Inception
this is a rippa
She's really good at live performances, not like the top playback "stars" who suck at lives
You do realise that one has the ability to compliment one artist without bashing its contemporaries... lame
