    Used my Double Black 16mm for the first time yesterday. Without a doubt it provided an increase in playability with better control and spin. While this is considered the better control paddle i felt like it had very good power as well. Saw improved kitchen play as well. Six Zero has created a great product here!

    Huge fan of the Double Black Diamond. The feedback when you hit the ball is much better than other carbon fiber faced options imo.

    Hi Keith! How do you compare the 6-0 Double Black Diamond with the Legacy Pro? I hesitate between the these two models. Thanks

    • @ThePickleballPirates
      @ThePickleballPirates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Legacy pro is hotter and harder to control , legacy and black Diamond are comparable for power. Double black is more control less pop, legacy is the top dog in spin.

      @@gao57009 I cannot speak about the pro drive as i haven't played it yet, what i can say is that Toray Carbon Fiber is the best quality out there, this paddle takes 2 weeks to break in. For $162 i think it's worth it given the purchase from Australia. Right now it's my go to paddle when i'm playing for money!! I'm actually going to try and figure out the BD because its ridiculous for power and for singles there isn't anything out there like it, maybe the Selkirk Power air, but this has a huge sweet spot for a power paddle.

    You recently reviewed the Veloz Ellipse paddle. I am curious about how you would compare the Black Diamond to the Ellipse in terms of control and power given that both have a type of carbon wrap technology.
    Also, how would you compare to the Pro-Drive in terms of power and control?

      I played with the pro drive today and I thought it played well and has a solid core , not as much spin as some of these other brands but love the color and it’s got a large sweet spot.

    I don't believe you mentioned that the paddles have foam injection on the perimeter like the Joola Hyperion. From the Six Zero website: "Foam injection followed by a light-weight carbon seam fusing the top and bottom faces of the paddle results in a tighter crisp feel and an increased sweet spot that radiates around the paddle perimeter. "

    • @ThePickleballPirates

    Reading SixZero Pickleball's site it says that the "Double Black Diamond" utilizes nano Toray, however on the "Black Diamond" page it just says composite surface. Does that mean the Black Diamond doesn't use raw carbon fiber?

    • @ThePickleballPirates

      Black Diamond does not use carbon fiber. Whether the composite is better than carbon fiber? Play with both and see. I always get worried when they mention "permanent" "amazing" spin. That would be great if the face doesn't wear for spin. Would be interesting to get the spin test and a retest 6 months later.
