Hope someone else chimes in on this. Back in the late '60s early '70s there was talk of using the subway system to move packages etc. during all that OPEC problems. They talked of cars like these motors and the service would be contracted out to a delivery company and the trains operated by transit motormen. The trains would mostly run in the overnight and off peak hours. They would load at specified yards and unload at specified stops where there were extra tracks. I think Chicago Loop may have been another location. To some extent makes sense.
There are two reactions to this catch: the commuter, and the foamer. THE COMMUTER: _As I was waiting on the platform for my Uptown 1 Train back to Harlem, I saw a faint light, and heard what sounded like my usual 1 train. But when the train pulled into the platform, it wasn't like any subway that I've ever seen. The train slowly rolled by, but it had no doors and no windows. All it had was the front sign that eerily said, "NOT IN SERVICE". I pondered what this menace could have meant, as I along with several other passengers looked at this thing in shear awe, confusion, and concern. Should we be afraid of this alien beast? Are we even living on the same planet? What made me even more concerned is that there was a man with a camera on the other platform, who got the whole thing on tape, as if he knew that this paranormal activity would occur ahead of time. But by the time I raced over to the other platform to try to get some answers, he vanished. Just as mysteriously as that fateful 1 train that passed just moments before._ THE FOAMER: *_OH MY GOSH!!!!! A GRAND TOTAL OF SIX R127/R134 CARS AND NO FLATCARS JUST PASSED BY 168TH STREET HEADING TOWARDS 207TH!!! THIS IS THE RAREST RARE I'VE EVER SEEN! I MUST ALERT ALL DISCORD SERVERS EVERYWHERE ABOUT THIS MEGA RARE!!! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!_*
What happened to the couple of retained R33WF singles they were using on garbage trains, they had the red paint with some yellow and black stripes at the ends
If you look closely, you will see this train has the exact number of windows per side as those trains that carried "passengers" to certain camps built by the Germans during the 1930's and 40's.
those service fleets are used for refuse garbage use i been in one for transit training those cars are very different than R62a the side door are not automatic like thee other fleets do

Kudos to the cameraman who runs faster than the train to capture it at every station.

You must be fun at parties… 😬
@@Bassotronics i think i missed the joke part, no reason for you to be rude though
@@FinnBugFinn_
I am not being rude. That’s why I ended the sentence with a smiley face.
@@Bassotronics you ended the sentence with a cringe face
@@FinnBugFinn_
It’s a face showing it’s teeth as a type of smile. It’s not a “cringe” face.
Feels like it should be an R62/A but without the sides with body/windows & 3 doors makes it feel special, lol!
But then again, the r134 has minor appearance differences, since it only has one strip across the body unlike 2 on the r127.
It's like a cargo van vs. a passenger van.
Messiah Where is your videos
R62A
@@transitcity I could have sworn they were built around the same time the 62A’s came out, there’s also pump cars that have a similar body shell
To be honest, I am never see this in before. It look so mysterious
Panel van version of the R62 😊
lolololol
@@DJHTransport did they delete the windows or?
R127s and R134s have an interesting design.
What are the differences?
Looks like r62s kinda

Bro, you need to be an author or a narrator or smth. Your literature skills are quite exquisite. 👌😭
@@Pensyfan19 lmfao literally foamers
wow, that's pretty neat! looks like an r62 (sans windows) and even has the same motor.
Imagine if these were used for passenger service!
Just like old times in passenger service
What happened to the couple of retained R33WF singles they were using on garbage trains, they had the red paint with some yellow and black stripes at the ends
They’re still being used! In fact, we have a video about them in the works right now 😃
Awesome video. Rare move.👌🥰👍
Feels like another variant of R62, I would call this R62G (R62 Garbage Train) as a alternate name for R127/R134
Awesome video DJ 👌❤❤ 0:38
